Actually there were attendees from the UK, all over Europe and quite a few from Dubai and Israel. It was wonderful to experience so many different approaches to the industry.

I'll let you know when I learn of the next event taking place in the UK. There are quite a few there as well.

The sessions were good, and you could learn some things there, such as the recent Google SGE update's effect on huge sites and what they learned about it. The show floor doesn't really apply to most of the folks here at WA, as it's mostly buying/selling traffic (stay away from that!). What I valued most was the individual meetings with so many different types of companies - affiliate networks, individual publishers, individual merchants, technical publishers - each bringing something special to the industry. Now THAT was fantastic!

It certainly sounds like time well spent, especially with the individual meetings. Are you looking for a new job, or perhaps with your skills, you can do something freelance, Jeannine?

Actually I've started a consulting business. I'm already managing two affiliate programs and helping a huge publisher who wanted to perfect their approach to increase their advertiser acceptance rate. It's all very exciting!

I know what it's like to care for older relatives with health issues. Hang in there!

It was an excellent event for me, mostly for the networking as I build my new consulting business. I was even offered a job on the spot, but I think I'd rather be that company's OPM than full-time staff. Good people, but I just don't want another J-O-B.

There were several sessions on Google's latest attacks on content publishers (big publishers were hurt too!), AI developments and new tools and strategies to increase traffic and conversions. Personally I focused on discussions with agencies who manage affiliate programs, and I will soon be a guest on both a podcast and a fireside chat talking about affiliate marketing. Two wins for me!
