What The Heck is Serp Analysis - My Own Interpretation

Hi Folks!I believe many members when doing keyword research face this problem. Before i move on, i like to clarify something. This is not a technical issue so its not a training.Thats why you are seeing a blog. And its my perception.

Keyword research tool shows low competition low searches?Great! But when double checked in Google, what the...?There is a tenfold competition siting there!Confused?OK.So i know most of you wanna say:Go to the last page of the badass G.That result is the correct one.

In fact my only concern is pg1 competition.Nothing Else.Below is an example of my thought pattern. One Question?Does Low Searches Low Competition Really Means The Holy Grail?

My answer is:It depends. On what?On who are sitting at the Big G first page and why.

Lets use this a keyword "cigarette accessories" for example:Now lets say it has low searches and low competition with certain magic numbers as a guideline since most of us adore like crazy. So We celebrate right?wow i found a gold mine!hehe...but Wait.

Lets see whats on page 1 First.Who are they?

In the case above ,my reasoning is i would not want to go into this niche even its low searches say 30 per month with say 40 competition.(its unlikely because its a product based keyword;)

And to the unknown innocent newbies who try to write a 10000 solid article hoping o beat the no.1 joker in "cigarette accessories" just because you think you gotcha a low hanging fruit and you can beat the herein competitors to a pulp, this can end up like below

Because Google Pg1 for cigarette accessories is not meant for blog post! Its meant for Ecommerce store my friend. And even you try to come out a niche store i doubt the end result will be of much difference.Google is also aware of User Experience.

Thats why The G puts all relevant possible cigarette accessories store not Blog post on page 1.

My Analysis Pattern

  1. Never go against the pg 1 results, if you plan of a blog post please do not park your your car in a lorry park. And Vice Versa. There is a reason for what's there on pg1.
  2. Low Competition is just the Numbers of competitors. What the heck it got to do with Serp Difficulty.?In the case above do you now why cigarette accessories is the keyword punched in yet the first or two result didnt use the exact keyword and still ranked high?Because the smoking store is smart."accessories' is a broad word. The owner knows by zoomng into cigarette cases, tubes whatever etc.And google knows this too!Check out their description in serp.Clever Move.Talk about Page and title SEO?
  3. what you see on pg1 dont be too creative.click the top 3 contents check them out.if its picures with some product description just add a bit of your thoughts.cover what they didnt cover.Blog post sitting on the top ?create a better content than them.Again its about cover what they didint cover.Put yourself in readers shoes.
  4. Check out if the top few guys are www.abc.com or www.abc.com/blah-blah.There is a difference. One is home page the other one is not.The ones without /is a strong competitor.
  5. Last but not least. If you see top 5 results are nothing but All about your Niche,E.g:Cigarette Accessories .Give it up.But If you see some irrelevant stuff like cigar pipes or ladies clothes in their store, there is a chance. It just happen they got a category in your target niche.

My Conclusion

Above case drawn is just an example of MY thinking pattern.I am in no position to challenge any WA teachings here when talk about low hanging fruit research. While its controversial,i hope i make some sense here. While there are cases of successful low hanging fruits research being taught here i am sure there are a handful of failures as well. Not to mention a lot of BS Crap tools free or paid out in the garbage Internet World.

Because NO NO ONE perfect tool exist in this world to tell you "Hey ,look at this numbers And My tool is perfect!'

Your OWN discretion matters. And i hope when you are doing research,be it finding a Niche Or Targeting keywords for your post or pages,Please Use your most precious ,often most forget asset called COMMON SENSE.

I got to admit i am not new to affiliate marketing. But i cant say that i am successful because I havent FAIL enough.

So my advice to any fresh newbies here,Yes, I mean zero experience at all. Please do yourself a favor.

Go ahead and Fail.Swallow the bitter pill.Take it no matter how .Its inevitable. The sooner you fail, the more you Learn.Even with WA ,i will say its still inevitable to fail for some of you.I got this message from my mentor 3 years ago when i fail in trading forex for 5 years.I am considered lucky enough.Only bankrupt once as compared to others who got wiped out .Even their life.

I know why a lot of affiliate newbies out there fail.Because they wanna feel safe and thats why they are scared and they like to do tonnes of keyword research

But the fact is we got confused in the end because we see different result in different tools.Dont get too hung up on numbers.Pg1 results Please study carefully.Ask yourself some good questions.

Check Jay aka Magsitudios video on SERP DIFFICULTY.I think the wisdom is in it.

In my opinion,SERP measurement is an Art more than a science. It takes practice and the price to pay for wrong analysis and failure is unavoidable.Lets finish everything with this Amazing GUY

Disclaimer

This blog is only my own interpretation of competition analysis. In no way i am gong against WA teaching in finding low hanging fruit keywords or dispel the WA keyword tool or Jaxxy,They are great tools and i urge the members here to follow WA teachings closely.Trust me at your own risk.

PS:Actually i am worried Kyle may just take this blog down.

My friends, you better click the like button below be it you like it or not for you will never know the frustration of how a praying mantis is typing on a keyboard.Told you before in my last blog i hate typing right?

LOL. Well i am coming with another case study on whether shall we go for a niche if its high searches and high competition. But just wondering it should be a training or blog?whats your way of researching Pg1. competition?Lets share it.

Anyone knows a way or ointment to ease the fingers?

Peace

Thank you.Actually i dont mean to write a lengthy blog but since i did not publish a blog for few months,i might as well make it a more in depth one just to express my view.

Thank you for your reply and checking out my website. I will write a blog on the topic as per your comments to me. Thanks again. Dan

Wow.
I hope people do read this post, and I also hope Kyle does not take this down.
This is excellent info!!
I look forward to reading more from you.

Hi Valerie.Actually i dont think Kyle is that unreasonable as long as we abide by the blogging rules.
Its just my sense of humor at writing.Am i so Serious?LOL

Lol. I agree that Kyle is reasonable. Yeah, I thought you might be a little serious. I do love your humor and your smarts though :-)

Thanks, Jeff, I will also take some responsibility by saying that I have been insisting on more info about your way of work for about, I think 3 weeks...

And I also think that you made it more then clear that this is YOUR interpretation and that you don't want to say anything (bad) about the WA training...
I mean, it is just normal that different people have different views.
And as a listener of those opinions, you have the power to choose from each opinion what you think is important for you.

I learned a lot with the WA training and I still believe in that training, but that does not want to say that I can be intrigued by your opinion.
And actually that is the case...
(Nobody will eat the same meal every day, some experiments are allowed I guess.)

Finally, I understand completely what you have said in 3 words sentences... And what you say makes sense...

I think I will try your method and combine it with the WA method and other methods that you can pick up here and there...

And then it is by trial and error that I will learn what works for me the best AND in which context!

Thanks a million for sharing this great info....

Grtz,
Bert

Hello Bert,HAHA,you just pushed a lazy bugger to work!THANKS!

It took some effort! :-)

Good job Bert! I see a trend happening here :-)

Had to think about it... :-) Of course, I think Jeff will be the easy client in that case!! ;-)

Ouch. That hurts ;-) Hehe.

Thank you...
