Affiliate marketing is so so tough ! Just got an email from CJ :
Couldn't sell anything so they deactivate me ! and even if I log in to re-activate again they will "· To keep your account live, you'll need to generate a commission within the next 30 days" AND "Beginning 30 days from now, we will deduct a monthly dormant account fee of $10"
Very depressing

Dear Jacqueline,
Your CJ publisher account has not generated any valid commissions during the last five months. We want to make sure you're utilizing our available resources to keep your account live. CJ is committed to maintaining a dynamic and productive network, so we've outlined what you need to know and the immediate actions that you should take.
Why am I receiving this?
Per the Publisher Service Agreement, all publisher accounts that are not actively earning commissions face a temporary deactivation.
Your account is scheduled to begin the dormancy process in the next 30 days since you have not earned any commissions in the previous 5 months.
What actions do I need to take?
To keep your account live, you'll need to generate a commission within the next 30 days
If you are unable to do so and your account is deactivated, you can reactivate your account by following the simple steps listed below.
For more information on strategies and tips for generating commissions, we recommend reviewing our available Support Center topics (ie. Running A Successful Publisher Program).
How do I reactivate?
To reactivate your account, you can simply log in by using your regular CJ username and password and you will be prompted to reaccept the Publisher Service Agreement.
Once accepted, your account will be reactivated.
If you reactivate your account within 90 days, all advertiser relationships will remain intact and there will be no consequences other than a loss of tracking between deactivation and reactivation.
What does this mean for my account?
Beginning 30 days from now, we will deduct a monthly dormant account fee of $10 from any balance that currently exists in your account. If your account currently has a zero balance, no fees will be assessed.
Once your account has reached a zero dollar balance, your account will be deactivated.
If you no longer wish to keep this account active, simply disregard this email and your account will be deactivated in 30 days through the normal process described above.
For more information on the dormancy process, you can view the Dormancy and Deactivation topic within the Support Center.

Clickbank will not close your account but they will charge you $1 a day for being inactive, that adds up fast. I too would like to find a good affiliate that will not do this.
My friend, that has not been my experience, but I have been a member for years and years, too.
Sorry, it is $1 per pay period.
Accounts with a positive balance but no earnings for an extended period of time are considered dormant. Dormant accounts are subject to a charge of $1 per pay period after 90 days of no earnings, $5 per pay period after 180 days of no earnings, and $50 per pay period after 365 days of no earnings. It is your responsibility to manage your account to prevent dormant fees. ClickBank will not notify you when your account is dormant.
I have gone for months with no sales... I am not arguing with you, I just do not have the same experience.
Amazon closed my account for this reason. They did say I could re-apply, but I should do so when I have more followers. I haven't received one from CJ yet, but I expect it will be coming soon. :(
I think should go for the "direct" company affilate programs and they don't have these terrible terms and conditions-whereby they just kick us out and impose account fee !
Same happened to me with Amazon Jacqueline. You're right, it's tough unless you have frequent sales. Have you tried eBay? I might look in to it myself.
Yes, I have tried ebay but my website is for travel and tour so can't use eBay much.
Now I am using app.Involve.asia and hopefully it will not do this to my account.
Hello Jacqueline, the big ones tend to do this. I received the same from Amazon and I have not deactivated it to date. You have to try and find the ones that do not do this.

It is good to be warned.
It does seem draconian.
