Bible Devotional Niche
I just signed up for WA yesterday, and my plan going into this before I took any classes was to create a daily Bible devotional website. My thought process for this is:
1. I can easily create daily unique content by doing something that I'm already doing offline.
2. As people visit my site, I hope to allow visitors to comment on my posts creating lively discussions. I would hope that this would generate a community of return visitors.
3. As far as income, I was thinking that the site could promote different Christian books and Bible study resources as well as Google Adsense.
I am still a noob, as I am just to the build your website lesson, so I still have very much to learn. But I wanted to throw my idea out there and see what you all think about it. Is this a viable idea? Thoughts? I appreciate your input. Thanks!

It is a viable idea, but be aware that traffic will be your biggest challenge as AdSense will not consider you until you have AT LEAST 500 unique visitors per month to your blog, so it will be awhile before you generate any revenue through them while you build your audience. I think if you write will, have the support of forum members elsewhere you could become profitable.

I think this is wonderful. I also thought about the same lines. I've been a Bible teacher for 30 years. You can never get enough of The Word when you love it. I'm sure I would enjoy your devotionals.
