The Imagination
As children we dreamed, imagined and got scolded for it. As often said "who we've become is learned", our fears are learned, our desires our learned all from either experience or self preservation. But why nip a child'd ability to dream in the bud? Is it because as parents they don't want their children to build their hopes up to be disappointed or as adults we envy their naive outlook on the world and choose to pull a veil of our own views over their eyes?
So it seems quite ironic that in my adult life that all these books of success and personal development celebrate the imagination and encourage you to do so in every free moment. But it all makes sense doesn't it? How are you to dream of something you've NEVER learned or experienced......through the imagination obviously. How are fantasy worlds created for movies and books?
The images we conger up can be epic. I've said it before and I'll say it again, your mind holds the key to your success. Your ability to (despite the crumby situation) keep your mind on that end goal whatever it is and let it be so far fetched that it makes you want it more. Small goals tend to make us lazy sometimes because our mind says "oh that's easy I don't have to work so hard to get it" so you lack the desire to get it as much because its within reach.
Challenge yourself "Dream Big". If you have barriers to get through before you can do that, break them down, go against the grain of "I can't", "I'll never", "I should have"; don't let the life you CAN have pass you by because you didn't challenge yourself to see outside the box. Relearn your imagination, eradicate your fears and be the best version of yourself you can be. I'll add my two cents in also saying be kind, pay it forward, see the good in everyone and be human.

We really are what we think. We set our own limitations often without knowing it. Learning to live in the moment makes the process of breaking through barriers possible.

Great post! We start life as free thinkers in awe of our surroundings and naturally inquisitive about life. Life was fun before I started school, after that life became regimented, controlled and boring! I was being indoctrinated, educated according to other people's agenda.
Most of what was crammed down my throat I find no use for in real life! Thank the gods I have put all that shit behind me! Albert Einstein was a smart cookie, he said, Education will only get you so far but imagination will get you every where (my paraphrase).
Before the bullshit I lived free! After the BS I was gaged! Dumping the BS I live free again!

I like your conviction. It is the status quo to go to school. unfortunately unless you have the ability to home school the cycle will continue but most a a child's character is learned at home. We do conform to what we have force fed to us which is why personal development and the desire to learn is so important to break free from the mold.
