5 Website in Generate Press Showing It's Power

I see new members wasting tons of valuable time trying to find the perfect team and falling behind on content. I built all 5 of these websites in WordPress using Generate Press, Canva (Logos and Images), and the Block Editor. I use GP Pro but most of the work done on these sites comes from FREE Generate Press.

Thanks for posting this, Andy.

I use GeneratePress for my sites here, although I have used a couple of other themes for Clients hosted elsewhere, using the Elementor builder.

GeneratePress is a great theme, and I agree, especially if you're new, do NOT overthink it. We can always grow and expand as we become more experienced (and successful). As you say, Andy, prioritise the content above all else.

I was interested in how GeneratePress could be adapted to look different, and you have opened my eyes to that.

Many thanks.

Thank you, I have yet to try Elementor but I you never know.

1

So far, I like Elementor. I use it over on Bluehost and have built 2 websites with it so far. Simple ones, but it was reasonably easy.

2

Wow, your websites are impressive. You've put the features of Generate Press to good use. I watched Eric's series on WordPress too, but I need to watch them over again.

What are you using for your newsletter? I'm still searching but need to implement ASAP.

Thanks for sharing this. It was good for my eyes to see the creativity you used in building your websites.

I use SendSteed it comes with my LeadsLeep membership. I pay $27 per month for unlimited everything. My list could reach a million sub and still be the same low rate.

2

Thanks Andy. I appreciate you responding back.

WOW, Andy! You are a GO-Getter!

Seriously, I am impressed. You are doing really well, despite your challenges. Keep it up.

Thank you. I didn't show my design site because it is currently testing another theme but GP is what I love working in.

2

You are welcome, Andy.

Admittedly, I was the same when I first started out - chopping and changing themes to find the best one(s) with all the bells and whistles. Not only is it time consuming, but sometimes choosing a "fancy theme" can actually slow down our sites if they're too heavy.

Nowadays I roll with GeneratePress for simplicity and its SEO benefits. Better still, I use the Pro version which comes with a few extra customization options. I also combine it with the RankMath Pro plugin as both allow me to use Schema Markup (+ create a custom schema template and author template) on my site for extra SEO juice and overall trust.

Just don't pick my brains about the technicalities of it all as I'm far from an SEO expert lol.

But starting with the GeneratePress free theme is definitely a good start :)

I love the fact you pair with Rank Math Pro, that is my next step up in the SEO of my sites do exactly to schema inclusion.

However, there is a slight learning curve, especially if you want a custom template, which would require hiring someone on Fiverr, using AI (which is challenging), sifting through YouTube or WA for some training.

With that said, you may find some basic RankMath Pro training online. What's also great is that RMP offers a 'FAQ schema' block that you can easily include at the end of each post - you simply add your questions and answers, and let RMP and Google handle the rest.

2

Yeah I have been subscribing to the RankMath YouTube channel for about 2 years now and have experience with the free version. The main thing I need more clarity on is schema types.

1

Good stuff! There's schema for all sorts of stuff like author, FAQs, tables etc. It all contributes to Google's EEAT and a better understanding of your site and you as a person/author. But it is next level stuff - hopefully someone at WA will eventually create training on schema :)

Jay Neil has a few classes on schema basics but they didn't go real deep.

Great job on the websites Andy, I might have to give GP another try in the future.
I switched to the Astra and Blocksy themes for mine. Well I only been at this for 8 months, but getting
better at it. Thanks for the tips.

I almost used Astra on a blog a few years ago but was advised that it was heavier than GP and my load times would suffer. I hope they have improved.
