Much to my Dismay - WA Hosting has No CPanel Access!
I guess I knew we had no access to Cpanel but this is kind of a bummer. I just was about to use a very cool tool to help facilitate my Social Media posts and I can't do that here.
No big deal but for those that are not aware, there are some restrictions to hosting your websites here. This is a big one.
Oh Well!

Did find this out sometime ago, was told what to do instead but cannot remember as I decided not to bother.

The good and the bad... 😱
I have a backup pluigin that uses cron and Site Support had to enable it. I'm assuming you need to do something a bit cleverer than that :-)

Yea no big deal, I understand why they don't. I certainly don't use it that much for it to matter and I have outside hosting for just such a tool.
Absolutely, Cpanel is mainly for developers to create backend applications, databases and the like. However, some Internet Marketing tools require small tweaks that non-developer types can handle but that has to be done through the CPanel in order for them to work. (I have attached an image). So Again, no big deal but definitely a restriction.

I admit that I have missed the cPanel access a few times. I'm not great with it but I'm used to having it available when I want it. I really wish that I could use WA features like site comments while hosting the site somewhere else. I admit that the hosting here is easier to use for a beginner. Even most of the time for an intermediate user like me, it's still easier to use WA hosting but there are definite drawbacks too, like the lack of cPanel access you noticed.
Totally agree and I do use outside hosting for just this reason on certain projects, but in no way does it take away from what I feel the value is here.

Hi Damo,
I was able to get access to some additional items through Filezilla. SiteSupport can help with that. Depending on what you need to do, maybe that will be enough(?).

Thanks but I am not going to sweat it. I have alternative sites and hosting to try out these tools.
