What's the difference between Domain I Own and Register a Domain?
I am at the website building stage and I would like to know if it matters which one I choose, and why?
If you have already purchased a domain name, then you can use that domain by clicking “Domain I Own”
If you have not purchased a domain name, then you will need to purchase one. In this case you need to click “Register a Domain”
Ah I see. I didn't realize I was buying a domain name. I thought it came with the premium account! Thanks for the clarification.
You can use a subdomain of the siterubix.com free of charge. You can always migrate it over to your own domain at a later date

(in that article I explain that you can buy it on Namecheap because back then Wealthy Affiliate didn't yet provide domain names when I wrote that article. Nowadays I purchase my domain names at Wealthy Affiliate.)
You can start with a free domain and get your own domain name once you're 100% sure which name you want.
When you have your own domain name, it's not recommended to change it afterwards because that will affect Google rankings.
That being said, I recommend picking your own domain name as soon as possible because one ranking factors in Google is domain age. So, the earlier you pick your domain, the better. Then it starts gaining authority in Google's eyes.
