'...Try With a Little Help From My Friends'
Hello you wonderful people, how are you going.
I need a little 'coaching' please. I am trying to get my www.giftshopformum.com finished(preferably before Mother's Day) and I was going to do a review page(s) on different products and I wanted a little opinion.(or a big one doesn't matter).
I'm not sure whether to leave my little blog there or just go straight into reviews and do like 'toasters' on page 1 , and 'massage chairs' on page 2 etc. I've had a look at Kyle's demo and others on the internet and need advice from someone who may have had some success, I'm just between a rock and a hard place.

Either a static page, or a sticky post and an explanation about what your site is all about and why- and the benefits of the user in coming to you and reading more, for sure, hope this helps, Andy
agreeing that people need some leading in to things, trust needs to be earned, and established before people will buy
Thanks Andy and @bap0304 , so do you think that I should bring the 'Honour your Mum' to the front and then have reviews trailing
I think a static home page about what your site and what you want to accomplish would be good then have your pages focus on the different product reviews.
I think you have something there, have you thought about maybe a little more information on your home page specifically geared toward Moms? just a thought.
Thanks MT I had thought of that, but wasn't sure whether that'd be too much but that's what I'm here for.
I agree with Shawn...
Your home page should be a summary of your whole site and you can have a "Reviews" page that will list and link to the individual reviews for each product.
I would use the reviews tab as a category. This way you can add reviews and assign them to the reviews category only and it will display like it's own blog.

I liked what I saw, however, I agree with nomda and others about the some type of a lead page. -All the best.
