This post is a follow-up to my NYC bus trip last week.
NYC Trip--It's Christmastime in the City!
There were about 30 members of Tony's Italian clan---and little ole' Irish me---on a bus going to NYC. We do this every year, compliments of my future sister-in-law Aura and her fam. They treat for all of us to: have lunch at the famous Carmine's Restaurant, take on a Broadway show (Frozen) and top it off at Zuma for apps and drinks. In past years we've seen productions of WICKED and PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, and three years in a row, we saw THE ROCKETTES at Radio City Music Hall.
From Parmesan and Pasta to Calamari and Cannolis, it certainly was a day of great food, entertainment and fun!---and needless to say, we "Let It Go!"

There were 10 platters of every dish imaginable at Carmine's! Appetizers, Salad, the Main Course & Dessert---Calamari, Stuffed Mushrooms, Antipasto Salad, Breads, Spaghetti & Meatballs, Baked Ziti, Chicken Parm., Eggplant Parm., Strawberry Shortcake and Chocolate Cannolis. Man, those Italians know how to EAT! (That was only one place we went to eat!)

Erin, I enjoyed sharing a part of your journey. And wow, I am a Colorado "mountain man" type and I'm always amazed at the "big city"! It just goes to show that where ever we choose to live, we can find a deep peace within if we are in the flow! Thanks for sharing!

Amen to that, Bobby! Finding a deep peace from within is a beautiful experience. Being surrounded by mountains adds a wonderful spirit. I also am surrounding by them where I live.

I hear you, Sherman. I got more exercise in one day than I had in the past month! It was good for walking off all the food, although they had Christmas cookies and brownies on the bus on the way home! haha

You should really make a point of it, Nick. A beautiful experience! There are endless Nicks in my fiance's family! His Dad was Nick, his sister is Nicki, his brother, cousins, uncles, etc.! HAHA!

Yes, it was a great time with loved ones, Marc! ..and yes, I've got the diet part covered! I drink my coffee weight loss daily! HAHA! I have to with all the Italian events in my life!
