What the Heck Happened?
Off again, on again, a terribly horrible pattern, I know.
So I'm back working on my site, making a few changes. Well, a LOT of changes, actually. Using grammarly, I'm fixing my writing (I use a lot of slang, and I never realized that because everyone here all talks the same, lol). It's one of those things that never even donned on me before.
As I was working on editing my first page, I went into one of my affiliate programs to get a link, and realized that their whole set-up changed! ugh. BUT.. my son taught me something.. a quick-fix, maybe. Besides the wealth of info here, I just did a quick video search (and I do NOT like videos, I find them hard to follow, for some reason.). But a bit of one video here and a bit of another one, and soon what I was confused with made a bit more sense.
I also signed up for Amazon affiliate, which I swore I would never do. But times are-a-changin', and I must too. Their program is odd... you have 3 months to make 3 sales. If not, you're definitely out. If you do, then they approve or deny your application to work with them. Makes no sense to me, maybe it's to weed people out and have less work for them?
PICTURES... ok... this one is getting to me. I totally HATE my home page, and I don't like how the pictures go into my site. So I will dig through some tutorials here, because I know that someone had an amazing tutorial for pictures.
Somewhere down the line, I paid for Grammarly and AIO, so I'll put those to use.
I have to make a google doc and start taking note of everything.. I was using pen and paper, but guess what? Yep, I lost half of my papers. So, going digital is another new one for me.
And as for the youtube, tictok, etc. where your voice has to be heard... is there a way around that? I have one of those squeaky, irritating voices. It comes in handy sometimes, but I highly doubt someone will listen to a video. That will be another learning curve for me to hit.
Right now, I will redo my current pages, SEO and affilaite links, etc.
I'll get it, we all will. We're in the right place. How's that song go? 'I'll get by, with a little help from my friends' (something like that)

Hugh, I will win this, those that tough it out eventually break through. I just have to stop this ridiculous 'stop and start again routine'. I gotta snap out of that, and I am indeed working on that every day.

Glad to see you are working on your sight. Being affiliate marketers teaches us a lot of things. Actually learning is not bad.
Just a couple of comments. I noticed you mentioned you paid for AISEO. It is no necessary to use the upgraded version (per Jay, the WA webinar instructor). We only use the free version.
Ifd you don't get your 3 different sales in Amazon in 180 days you can always reapply after adding more posts.

Thank you! I knew that Jay said (and others have said as well) that we didn't have to pay for the AISEO, but for whatever reason, I did anyway. But that is what it is, so they say.
And thank you for the advice for Amazon. I can relax a bit on that now. It is greatly appreciated!

Amazon knows a lot about you already. You can't buy something through your link to count towards your required sales total. Your family can't either. Neither can you friends. It has to be complete strangers or else they will kick you out of their program. Yeah, they'll let you back in again, but you will have to change every single link to a new publisher ID number. Amazon is not nice to their affiliates. Just so you know....
Thank you. I have actually dealt with them years ago.. way back when.. I just wanted to try out a few different programs, see what people lean towards.. I'll weed them out as I go. Or they'll weed me out. Lol
