My progress in one month with WA
I've been one month joining WA. There are a lot of things I've learned, especially about how to build a website. I've built my websites and experimenting with some different themes. That's why my websites are still far from good and such a mess. Still have a lot to learn until I have enough confidence and try to make money.

The first month can be pretty mind blowing with all that's thrown at you so well done for making good progress....should all start to become clearer for you here on in.
Mark
Hi Mark, time flies. I've been more than one month now here at WA. Yes, sometimes mind blowing or overwhelming. But at least I learn and make a little progress at a time. I hope the result will be good later.
Thanks for your support. Cheers.
How are you, Robert? Great, I'm going to ask you lots of questions :-)
I hope I will not bothering you with my questions. Thanks for your support. Have a great evening.
Hi Hayu. well done so far, I think you have the basis of a really good site, but perhaps a slightly larger font size and making it darker may help legibility as, at the moment, it doesn't stand out very well on a white background.
“That which causes us trials shall yield us triumph: and that which make our hearts ache shall fill us with gladness. The only true happiness is to learn, to advance, and to improve: which could not happen unless we had commenced with error, ignorance, and imperfection. We must pass through the darkness, to reach the light.”
- Albert Pike
Hello Harry, thanks for noticing some things at my site. Please tell me how can I change the font size. I use ms word to write my articles and then copy paste it to my site. Can I change the background too?
Thank you for your kind attention. Regards.
Hi Hayu, there is a plugin, TinyMCE Advanced, that lets you change fonts, font sizes, etc, but the best way to change fonts, font sizes, font color is by editing your theme's stylesheet. This will give you consistency throughout your website pages without having to do each one individually.
You can do this by going to your dashboard, click on Appearances = Editor, this will bring up the stylesheet. Now you need to look for something like the following (this is a sample of how I edited my stylesheet, these figures will probably be different in your stylesheet, you will need to alter them accordingly) :
----------------------------------
/* #Typography
================================================== */
p {
line-height:18pt;
font-size:13pt;
color:#333333;
text-align:justify;
margin: 0 0 0px 0;
font-family: 'arial', sans-serif;
}
-----------------------------------
Once you have made the changes click on the update button. If you do decide to edit your style sheet always take a copy of what you are about to change, as if it doesn't work you can always revert back to the original. Also, if you update your theme your stylesheet will also change so copies of any changes you made can also be used to update your new stylesheet.
If you wish to change an individual paragraph you can always do this: by using a bit of HTML coding:
With regards to background color white is fine if your text color is dark. I find #333333 (a dark gray) is easy on the eye on a white background. If you do want to change the background color you can normally do this by customizing your theme. Again, go to Appearances and click on Customize. This will bring up a list of things you can customize, including background color.
Hope this helps, if I can be of any further help just give me a shout, and always remember: "The only stupid question is the one you don't ask!"
Well done Hayu, keep up with the training and before you know it, your already good website will have be a great website.
Hey Darren, thanks for your support. I will certainly keep up with the training although with baby steps. I also wish my site will become a great profitable website, that's one of my goals here. Cheers.
Great goals, and keep up with all the steps, and as you develop in your confidence, I am sure you will have a profitable site.
It all takes time you will get there perhaps you should just focus on one just now, do not forget you can use the search bar if you need some answers or ask the community etc I am still learning
You are right Katie. Perhaps I should just focus on one site and try to make it as a good profitable site. Yes, many times I use the search bar or ask some people in the community if I need some answers. Thanks and keep in touch.

Hi,, Hayu! Congrats on your one month. (I'm a week behind you.) Also, I'm not where I want to be, where I think I should be, but I have learned so much, and that has made me more determined to stick it out! :)
Thanks Robbie. I hope soon you will be where you want to be and where you think you should be. Everyday we can learn more here. I wish you a great success in near future. Cheers.
