Finding what works for you is important in your progression. It is all about learning and finding what you like the best. There are so many ways to make money online that you dont have to do anything that you dont feel good about. Next........

I like Pinterest the best. Since I got a lot of friend requests on FB, some friends-of-friends-of-friends, I've deleted a whole lot of people that have been sending me inappropriate messages, and worse, unasked for pics!
I also got asked to help some stranger come to Canada! And one single mom with 800 friends said if we all donate just $! each, that could pay her rent!!! I reported both for spamming and harassment.

I got a great idea to do true social marketing with out the risk of being slapped by Google or Youtube. Since we have a ton of members here at WA and all of us are either Experts in our respective niches or at least getting there fast. We can refer any one we know looking for something in a member's niche to that person's site. They get the traffic and a satisfied new reader that can be a customer. The reader gets to absorb some great content. And we get to know that we helped 2 people, and that both may return the favor to us some day. Everyone wins. The one catch would be don't actively search for people to refer let it be organic. If some you know outside (or even inside) WA is actively looking for something then let them know you may know a site that will help. Hey it couldn't hurt and we can build deeper relationships here.

Take it nice and easy as you make quality connections. Let me tell you what happened to me a few months back. I am an affiliate with ClickBank. Found several great products and I made about 22 short videos to show them off. I posted them on YouTube. It started out great....at least at first. I was getting view , likes, comments and all sorts of great things. Then I made a big mistake and allowed someone to get me more "quality" views to me videos. Hah! Within hours, YouTube "slapped" me and 12 of my 22 videos were removed, along with views, likes, comments and everything. Even my other 10 videos were now suspended. Needless to say, it all went back to the person that was going to "help me" get more views and a higher ranking with YT. Lesson learned? Take it nice and slow with honest followers and you will never regret it. WA now has all my attention. :)

why not give twitter a go, I gave fb a miss since they have changed the way the business and ads work

I guess social marketing isn't for everyone. Just what you went through (spam) is what I fear and do not want. I want quality and verifiable traffic, not offers or scammers. Thanks for your input.
