how do I upload html code to the site. Google console requests upload of code into site for analytics to verify site.

Hello, can anyone help me find out why I could not install my pinterest code into the head section of my site? I did everything but I'm getting this.------------- We were unable to detect your tag. If you just added it, please try again in a few minutes. In some cases, you may need to add or remove "www" from the URL above. If you continue to have difficulty you can also use our Chrome Extension to verify your tag is working

Hi Graham,

You do not need to upload HTML code to Google. Have a look at Kyle's training on the subject; I have given a link to his training below.

Use should be using All-In-One SEQ plugin. It's a matter of copying your verification code [UA-xxxxxxxxx] to All-In-One SEO. All the best,
Paul

Thanks Paul

First, you will have to log - into Google and then you will need to follow the direction that they will give you so that you can get verified, after this you should be alright to return back to your website to finish what you started.

Thankyou.

Have had a comment disapproved and the owner suggested I re write it and then it will be approved. How do I rewrite a disapproved comment submission?

Disapproval do really means disapproved.

Reread the article and try to make a positive comment about what you read. Include the things you like about the post.

I have had two comments disapproved. Certainly won't rewrite them and will be very cautious about doing any more. They take up too much time to count for nothing!

I Agree.

I don't think rewriting it is possible.

They can report Spam on a comment but can you state how you got the disapproval?

I was told the type of comment was not what they wanted.

Not sure why of course but honest and being carefully thoughtful in your comment, seems a bit harsh but don’t let it deter you from participating in future comments.

Thanks TimMoto.

Hi - I wasn't aware that was possible using the Site Comments feature. You could go directly to their site to add a comment, but of course, you wouldn't receive a credit for it.

Thanks Diane.

Authoring & Writing Content
Updated

Hi, all knowing people. I have a mental merrygo round happening. When do I use a page and what sort of content, and when do I use a post and what sort of content. My head is sp

In short the difference is that a post gets published to your blog roll & feeds, whereas a page doesn’t - so if you want to add content that you don’t necessarily want to update your users about, use a page - otherwise use a post.

Hi Dale, thanks for that very cogent reply, I now understand, just need to remember by tomorrow ;).

Hi Dale, thanks for that very clear reply, I'll try to remember it now.

Hey Graham, I can help you out there.
But first well done on joining the blogging buzzz. I'm sure you have a wealth of knowledge to share.
So a Page is like a one off article. Say for instance the Privacy Policy is a Page. You may have also set up an About Me Page, which is info all about you and what your website is all about.
Once you start writing content, that is information you would like to share, that becomes a Post.
Tell me what are you going to write about Graham?

Hi, thanks for your detailed reply, my mind is now slowing down and messages are becoming clearer, now all I've got to fix is the memory. From your profile I see you have forsaken the land of the long white cloud for the land of constant sun. As an ex pom, in South Aus, I'm also from a land of lotsa cloud. ;-). My site is all about Drones or Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. I tend to "drone" on a bit though.

Right on. That is the way I remembered it. Posts are what you are writing about and the pages are more of the documents/forms that are formed in your website.

Excellent, I look forward to hearing more. Do sing out if you have any questions, lots of people to help.
Yes I;m from the land of the long white cloud. Heading back there shortly.
