Love Yourself as you Love Your Neighbour!
My life has previously been a struggle, during long periods. Bouts of depression have sapped my days, of the joy that could have filled them.
There are two very distinct personalities in me, jousting to get the upper hand. One is kind and caring. Capable of undying love. I hope this is is the real me.
The other me is a dark soul. Always negative and resentful, hateful even, but only of me!
My kind personality sees only the good and lovable traits in others and can be rather gullible.
The dark soul does not interact with other souls at all. His only interest is to criticise me and judge me for my shortcomings.
This guy hates and despises me, from the core of his loveless being. His undying hope is to see me fail, to be humiliated, punished. If anything goes wrong he will lay it on me!
Since I came to this hot house community of brotherly/sisterly love and encouragement, he has been very quiet. The personality that I view as the real me has become much more assertive.
The bad guy cowers in a corner. Poor soul, he seems quite despondent.
Someone once said if you can't love yourself you cannot love your neighbour. I know he was wrong. I'm just now learning to love myself as I love my neighbour.

Thanks for the advice Wayne. It just struck me that the persona I refer to as the dark soul is a child, me as the embittered and hateful child that my overly harsh (too much beating) upbringing created.
I figure and hope that you are doing well now? Goran, we are certainly in a nice place, here, at Wealthy Affiliate!

I can relate to what your saying. Right now my "dark soul" is winning. Running into every single road block in front of me. But that doesn't stop me. I check into the WA site everyday and it keeps reminding me of what to do next. I think we all have the dark side and light side in us. We must silent that voice and look ahead to what is coming. As long as we stick to the laid out plans we are going to see success.

Thanks Nurit! Sorry to hear you host a dark soul as well. I found out that mine is the child I was. Random and incomprehensible beatings on a daily basis taught me to hate myself. Happy to report that I'm healing tho. This is the place to heal and I hope you will too Nurit.

Goran! This is a powerful post. Love the twist, transparency and most importantly the fact that you are beginning to see value in yourself. You are more important than you know. The more transparent you become the more you reach people.

You will write about your experiences and help many to overcome. Be sure to have a site dedicated to that. Join relevant Social media groups, chat, comment and get yourself out there.

Thanks Jae. These are some of the things I enjoy too. Music yes, I love Opera, mainly the Italian 18-19th century kind! The Swedish tenor Jussi Björling is my no 1 favorite. Oh yes nature, I love to see the Miracles of creation manifested in nature.
