Four Pages Indexed At Once

Greetings WA family. I thought I would share another encouraging event. Yesterday, four of my pages were indexed with Google at the same time!

Those of you who have been following my journey know that I have been mostly focused on providing quality content instead of directing traffic towards my site. It's not that I'm not interested in traffic (that couldn't be farther from the truth). It's that my strategy is more focused on *keeping* people on my site instead of having them click-through to something else.

By providing content that is both interesting and inter-related, my thinking is that any visitors will stay longer, learn more, and value any offerings, whether it's anything I'm selling or any future blogs or posts I will add to the site.

I was beginning to think this approach wasn't going to work as I've been consistently adding new content but NOTHING was being indexed - unlike my earlier experiences. But, I stuck with it and here are the results - and I couldn't be happier! It's just that bit of encouragement that helps keep me going.

If things go as planned, I'll be ready to focus on traffic around Labor Day, which should be an ideal time for visitors to find my content useful, given my site's focus. In any case, I'll keep you all informed of any progress. Thanks for all your support!

Wishing you all the best in your own journeys!

Excellent. Jim

WOW. that's amazing!

Congratulations!

It is, after all, all about the content. Google is notoriously erratic in how it scans all the millions of sites across the internet.

Continue the good work and I am sure you are going to continue to be an inspiration.

Dave.

Thanks Dave, I appreciate the encouragement. I agree with you in regards to Google's behavior, hence my surprise.

I do hope to be inspiration - because if I can do this, then anyone can, trust me...

Regards,
Ty...

Hi there Tyrone, I am quite new but have used this exact approach, as it also seems to bring great comments that feed my passion and lead to new ideas for future content.
Thank you for sharing your experience. Cass

Welcome Cass51! Nice to meet you and thanks for reaching out and commenting, I appreciate it.

At first, I doubted the approach I was taking because it didn't seem to generate a lot of $$$.

However, I have found that my personal passion for my niche helps me to create more compelling content so those who do visit my site are more deeply impacted.

So,for me, at least for now, it's a matter of quality over quantity :)

That's encouraging to hear.
How have things progressed since then?
I'm employing a similar strategy and would be interested in finding out how it's working out for you.

Honestly, I can't comment on the strategy yet. I've been out of the loop due to the 9-5, the flu and home repairs. But, I'm getting back into the action starting today.

What I can say is this: this strategy seems to work best on people who want to learn from your blog/experiences. People who are looking for a quick or easy answer may not be in the mindset I'm targeting. This is my own personal goal, to teach, not just to sell. So, I'm willing to take the short term hit for a long term goal.

Eventually, I will create other sites that are geared more towards the "quick sale" mentality, but that's not my focus right now.

That being said, I've had more traffic than expected (and a higher bounce rate than I wanted) but I've had at least one sale and I'm encouraged.

Just manage your expectations in conjunction with today's fast-paced mentality, take it a step at a time and I think you'll do just fine (and me as well!).

Thanks for reaching out and I will you all possible success!

Thanks for answering. I will be following you fairly closely as my goals are similar to yours. And I agree, with teaching as a goal, it's not about the short term, it's more about the long term.
Developing a relationship so that they come back for more and gain confidence if what you are presenting.

Wishing you all the best as you get back in the game.

Congrats Tyrone!

Well done!

Keep up the good work!

Amazing, nice work Tyrone. As you build out your website indexing and ranking is only going to happen with more and more consistency and more frequency. :)

Thanks Kyle - as always, I appreciate the feedback and support :)
