Short note on list building
You can choose between money or relationship marketing:
1. Money marketing:
a. More aggressive with initial sales follow-up
b. Less focus on building rapport
c. More of a numbers game
2. Relationship marketing:
a. Initial contact is more about building rapport and trust
b. Your selling is done more through education based marketing
c. Takes more energy but requires far less subscribers to make the same amount of money
Basically, send traffic to your squeeze page or opt-in page:
You can have single or double opt-in.
3. Set a bait or bribe - Content that hooks them:
a. Book or report
b. Video
c. Software
d. Free training
e. Free eBook
f. Free content – Google
g. Buy PLR – private label rights, to give away
h. MRR – master resale rights
i. Create your own product
Both freebies and contest can generate good results.
Once opted-in follow by a series of swipe emails with your autoresponder, frequency varies: ex. 2-3 emails a week some have more some have less
Emails could be a combination of rapport/trust building and offers depending which approach you took. Always offering value! Something people find useful and wants to learn more...
Money marketing - a series of promotions and offers, offering value.
Relationship marketing - first few emails about you, offering value, basically building trust and rapport, then an offer, in rotations.
Which approach you choose depends on personal preferences, chosen niche, and target audience.
For long term business, you might want to consider relationship marketing, more time and work but yields higher returns.
That's all for now.
Enjoy, cheers!
