Where do I find the verification code the transfer request is looking for?

There are two different terms used here. A domain is just the name (URL) without any website content.

A domain name can be transferred to WA or stay where it is and the DNS of the domain name be pointed to WA servers.
To update their domains DNS settings to point to WA. Here are the DNS settings.

http://ns1.mywahosting.com
http://ns2.mywahosting.com

To get a code to transfer it contact SiteSupport.

Thank you very much this is very helpful.

You are very welcome. Glad it helped.

You may transfer or point to WA servers (if transferring domain has to end in .com, .net or .org.

To update your domain DNS settings to point to WA. Here are the DNS settings.

ns1.mywahosting.com
ns2.mywahosting.com

These settings will be updated within your domain registrar (where you purchased your domain) after the transfer has taken place. To transfer your domain here you need login current registrar and fetch the EPP code, there's a one year charge of $15, privacy included. One year more will get added to your domain.

Also it has to have passed the grace period of 60 days.

Great, many thanks.

I have web sites I wish to transfer to WA. What is the transfer verification code? and where do I find it?
Help please.

It is fairly easy.

First, the site has to be older than 60 days.

Then you ask the current host for the transfer code, which you will provide to WA.

Go to Websites>Site Domains

Then you will see a button to transfer to WA.

That's when you will provide the code plus $13.99 per site for the next year of hosting.

Transferring only gets a little complicated because your current host often will tell you a few things you have to do for the transfer to work, like make sure any security protections to it are turned off.

In the case of GoDaddy, they don't give you a one stop way to turn off your protections. But, in any case, when you get to the point that all your protections are turned off and you tell WA to transfer the domain, well, it's not instant, but it happens in a little bit.

Then you have to go to list your domains and turn on hosting for the page that you transferred.

Good Luck!

Thank you for this. You have confirmed what I thought but when I visited my hosts site I could not find the where so I thought I would confirm before I pursued it further. Will carry on now, Thanks.

Thanks for the question and I am planning transfer my kcancer.com domain under WA. I will follow you to see how you are doing.

Hope we both get there soon!!!

Hello Geoff, go to the Websites section of the WA page and click on Site Domains. About half way down the page you will see an option that reads, Transfer A Domain to WA. You should be able to figure it out from there.

Hope this helps!

Thanks BJuno, I have got to that point but that is where I am asked for my transfer verification code and this is what I do not know where to locate.
