Winners Never Quit
The expression winners never quit and quitters never win is very apt here at Wealthy Affiliate. I have been here just over a year and I have made exactly $1. As you can imagine I have wanted to quit on more than one occasion.
The single most important thing that has kept me going is the unbelievable support from all the members here at WA. The second is that there are so many scams out there it is almost impossible to find anybody who is honest. Here at WA I feel at home, so how can I quit.
Where would I find another home like this one. I have tried my fair share of scam programs, just like most of the folks here at WA. I have lost thousands of $'s over the years and I am not exaggerating. I started affiliate marketing way back in 2005, so you can imagine how many money making schemes I have tried, from Aff. Mark. to lotteries' all promising instant riches.
When I joined WA I thought OK just another scam. I didn't go premium for about six weeks. What was so refreshing, there was no pressure to change my status.
Since going premium I have followed the bootcamp lessons to the letter. So I hear you say, why am I not making any money. I know why!!! I am not writing enough content. When I got to lesson 10 of phase 5, I realized just how far behind I had got. 12 articles in six weeks, impossible I said. I have never written so much in the last 4 weeks in my life.
When I checked last night I had 1 keyword phrase at page 1 on Google, 2 on page 2 of Google, 1 on page 3 and 1 on page 4. In April I could not find any of my keywords on Google and only 1 on page 3 of Yahoo. Content is definitely the key.

You are so right Garth! I think all of us have been in that position, but then you get a push and a shove from another loyal WA friend, and quitting is just not an option!

Been there done that. Tried many scams and programs promising riches. I finally decided, there is no such thing. I needed to find a program that actually TEACHES you how to BUILD a business. WA fit that bill perfectly.
If you stick to it, you will do ok. I am sure of it.
Yes it's tough going for us older ones isn't it? I have back problems and it's concentration levels I struggle with so I have only got a fraction done of what I expected to when I started last July.
But I have always maintained that the only ones who never make it are those who quit along the way. There are also a number of people on here who are doing well now who didn't make much in their first year.
Nathaniell's blogs are good to read as they outline how he has progressed over the years. I will be quitting WA this year for other reasons, but will be continuing with my project. WA is definitely the best place to learn this business and I have had full value for my year's subscription.
Thanks for sharing. I'v been here bout six months and haven't made a thing. I did get two that clicked through, but didn't fill out the starter profile. One individual I know complains about no traffic to her blog. She won't even fill out the free profile. I told her I'll get a dollar, your pay nothing, WTH. Laugh, but no go.
I have the same problem, I'm not writing enough, my fault completely I haven't gotten farther. But I am learning a lot.
I have MS and mobility issues, but I have to admit I'm running out of excuses. Pretty soon I will have no choice but the write! Let's just say my excuse list is getting shorter by the minute.
I liked your section on Jaxxy. I guess that's the training I should focus on. I don't understand keyword research (one of my excuses) so looks like now is a good time.
I had this same problem, I really ramped up my content and am now getting many hits a day as well as many hits in google.
