Wealthy Affiliate Progress: First 3 months
Here is my Wealthy Affiliate progress report for the first 3 months of my membership. i am a little late in posting this due to the festive season being upon us, but in the spirit of openly reporting my progress and holding myself accountable, here goes!
I've tried to keep this in the same format as the others so as to add some consistency to my goal setting and review process and have used data up to December 19th which is my first 3 months. I joined as a premium member on day one as I wanted to give myself the best start and I have since upgraded to yearly membership using the Black Friday offer.
Month 1 report is here: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.co...
Month 2 report is here: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.co...
MY WEBSITE PROGRESS AFTER 3 MONTHS
AS A COMPARISON:
After 2 months - 1st niche website: 12 pages, 16 posts. 94 comments
After 2 months - affiliate marketing website: 4 pages, 8 posts, 44 comments
Below are my key progress items to date:
1. I have now bought 5 of my own domain names but I am only really working on 2 of these adding content on a regular basis. The others I have set up with the intention of building on them in the future but if the muse strikes me, I can add content to them as I go. Two of these I am setting up for my daughters and as they get older I intend to introduce them to this wonderful platform and allow them to add their own content so that they can have a good start in the working world. That may be a few years yet but hopefully if I start them now, when they come to take over, the sites will have gained some trust.
2. You can see from my SiteManager screen shot above. that in the last month I have added overall to my 2 main sites:
- 1 page
- 7 posts
3. I have made some money from Google Adsense on these 2 main sites and currently have a balance of £11.76. Although this is not enough to withdraw (minimum withdrawal is £60), I can see that this is going up slowly but surely.
4. I have been writing a lot this month and some of my articles have been quite long but I have now written over 52,000 words using SiteContent which I'm thrilled at. This includes 3 articles which are almost finished (totalling 6,000 words) as well but these are unpublished as I write this review, but I expect to complete and publish them in the next day or 2.
5. I'm also really pleased with my blogs here at wealthy affiliate. I have now posted 47 WA blogs and 42 questions and as I have now passed the 3 month mark, I will be able to post more than once per day and also add trainings, which excites me. This post will be my 48th! I also use SiteContent for writing notes and ideas about future articles which is why I have a few unpublished articles that I've started or left as notes.
6. One thing I'm very pleased about in the last month is the way that I have managed to get more clicks for my WA content and I'm taking this as a really positive thing. I have noticed that sometimes comments pop up on articles and blogs I wrote quite a while ago and so I think that is what is happening here - the more I write, the more opportunities there are for unique clicks and referrals too. This can be seen from the chart and graph below. I know some people on here are into the thousands of clicks per month on their content and that is great and something to aim for. I am happy with reaching over 1000 clicks for my third month here with still some time to go.
7. My WA rank is currently 49 although this has fluctuated within the last month between 42 and 58, but that is about 20 places higher than last month and I got into the top 50! I know this doesn't really count towards anything concrete and says nothing about my ability to make money online, but hopefully it does say something about my willingness to help others and the pay-it-forward attitude here at WA. What I really love to do is to create content so I'm pleased that my current rank as a creator is 29 and i look forward to creating more content in the future.
8. I got ranked number 3 on page 1 of Google for one of my WA blogs. (See below as checked in an incognito window). This was one of the highlights this month so should probably have been a success post in its own right as it proves that with the right keywords, using the WA blogging platform, you can rank on page 1 of Google. I have not currently ranked that high with my own domains, but leveraging the WA name, I can. When I first checked this, I was amazed and thought that it must be a fluke but I just checked again as I wrote this blog and I'm still there - rank 4 now but that's ok. Mine is the post "Wealthy Affiliate Blogs - Did you know this?"
9. My site visitors are increasing and I am retaining some visitors as you can see from the green part of the pie chart. This is the graph from Google Analytics for my main niche site. Again, I know there are people at WA who get thousands of visitors per day, but this is my goal for the future and I'm pleased that the users are visiting my site. This has tailed off in the last week in the run up to Christmas, but what I have also noticed that users spike when I publish new content and share it at WA and on social media so that is a good incentive to keep writing good content.
10. I'm also really pleased about all the lovely comments and encouragement that I have received from other WA members who have read my posts, commented in positive ways and helped me. Thank you for being so AWESOME. I don't usually use that word because I think it can be a bit overused and lose its meaning, but it's how I feel about the WA community which is so positive and geared towards success.
So, onto my goal review.
MY SMART GOAL REVIEW
Here are my goals from last month that I have reviewed and revised for this month.
OTHER LIFE STUFF - PUTTING WEALTHY AFFILIATE INTO CONTEXT
This is just to let you know what else has been going on in my life so that there is some context to what I do. As many of you know I have been surrounded by costumes this month because I had to remove all of my theatre company costumes from their store by the end of November. So my house has looked like this:
And my kitchen looks like this:
I'd love to say that I managed to get it all sorted but unfortunately although it looks better, it is still not all packed away and I suspect it will take a while longer yet. It's sometimes difficult being a single parent to find time to do everything!
I also had to mark this lot for school!
However, on the plus side, we have as a family:
- Attended 3 carol concerts
- Been to the ballet to see Alice in Wonderland
- Seen Star Wars: The Last Jedi
- Been to see Father Christmas - twice! Although I'm not sure which one is the real Santa!
Until next month...
Thank you all for making Wealthy Affiliate the most wonderful and inspiring place.
All the best and wishing you all a wonderful New Year and much success in 2018.
Love and light,
Gail

You have been doing great, Gail. Congratulations and thank you for sharing your success story.
Thanks Gail. I am home sick from work today...so hoping I can have some time to write a post for my poor site that has been languishing! I have been so busy I can't keep up!
Sorry to hear you are sick. I've twisted my knee so I'm hobbling around like Long John Silver.! It's my daughter's birthday party tomorrow too so that will be interesting. I'll have to get out my 'teacher voice' to control the guests I think......
Hope you feel better soon and just remember - there's always tomorrow. That's not procrastinating, just sometimes things need adjusting for realism! You're amazing, remember that! :)
Oh, no! A twisted knee sounds awful! I used to twist and sprain everything. Thanks! Good luck to you tomorrow!!
Hey Gail you are so focused and organised, the untidy house aside.. LOL!
I love the fact you have put down your goals and are working towards them each month.
As you see the progress go so will the traffic, clicks and sales. No problems you are going places.
Haha Mark. Thanks. That's me - the left side is organised but the right side is way off the scale! I think it's compounded because as a dance teacher, to me, right is left and left is right.......never get directions from a dance teacher! :) Thanks for your kind comments and here's to a wonderful 2018. Gail
I love this! It's so inspiring and encouraging to see progress from members on here! =) It can be a slow climb but following this system really does work! =)
Thank you Kylie. Glad I can help other members by honestly showing what I'm doing and achieving, good and bad.
Awesome Gail, thanks so much for sharing! Keep rocking sister, cheers to an amazing 2018! :-)
Thanks Bob. Definitely 'rocking' at the moment - literally - I've twisted my knee so I'm hobbling along at the moment!!! That's put paid to my dancing the night away at New Year! I'll just have to resort to 'testing' the wine!! :)

Keep up the achieving. Inspirational :-)
Thanks Allan for your kind comments. :)
