Getting Impatient - Need Words of Wisdom

So I'm getting really impatient.

I've started my new site a week ago - I KNOW, that's like no time at all. But I've been here 2 months and I know my stuff better, so I set it up pretty quick, already got 7 posts, following all the SEO guidelines, got Instagram,Facebook page, Pinterest, Google+. Some good rankings, some average. 2 page 1's for long tail keywords, on average around page 5 for shorter tail keywords. I know for a week that is amazing results, but I'm getting so impatient and driving myself CRAZY.

I've set up a small facebook ad promo, got 29 impressions and no likes so far - from that promo. Got an affiliate program set up with PPC and only 45 clicks so far which amounts to 2 euros, and I just somehow want things to skyrocket - maybe coz I'm working on my site all day into late hours of the night, and the results don't seem to match the amount of work I put in.

A very small voice of reason somewhere is telling me - persevere, it takes time, keep going, the site is a BABY god damn.

But still - AAARRRRGHHHHHHH. I want people to see and like and comment and buy and come back, lots and lots of people. Why aren't they coming immediately?

Sorry I just had to rant, bad day, ugh. Please help with some wise words, experience stories, or whatever, really need to hear them right now.

Hi Eva,
I wrote a blog that sort of goes with this. I hope you get the chance to read it and that it resonates with you.

Hi,
I will gladly read it now, thank you, I'll get back to you after I'm done!

Wow, yeah, needed to read that. My Alamo is to never go back to a frustrating 5-9 + overtime job, to be my own boss, to manage my own time, to work on my own terms and earn my own hard worked for money, which to me resonates as financial freedom. Thank You digpacitti, I needed to remind myself of my Alamo.

So glad you were able to get encouragement from it and thanks for reading it! I know you will succeed because you have a true Alamo, one that will turn into a roaring flame that will push you through to the end. I see that your Alamo is not a search for laziness but for the true freedom to achieve in life the things that have meaning to you! There is no need for me to wish you luck Eva because I know you are going to make it! :)

Thank you so much, that is real encouragement that I much needed! I wish u all the best!

Hi dear Eva, can I make a deal with you? Don't focus on social media, share every post there, that's very good. Focus on quality content. Lots of it! You attract then visitors via Google searches. Here comes the deal: Can you provide before 31 december 50 posts?

The secret of getting traffic is in the amount of content! The different keywords will attract your visitors!

Hi Loes,

yes we can make that deal, I love writing about my niche, so I will much more prefer writing about it as opposed to getting all wound up about social media, 50 before 31 december it is! Thank you:) I needed to hear that!

Great! I wish you a lot of inspiration!

Great advice, I think I will make this a goal for me too. :)

You just said it.Your site is young, not yet that many posts.Be patient not all things are a sprint.

Thank you, I needed to hear that from 3rd person perspective, just makes it easier to take in.

It's been about a month for me and im still building up my online prrsence. I have some posts, pages, and affiliate links but things are going slow, so I can relate to the frustration.
But these things do take time when you think about it, I think it's about 2-3 months before things get rolling.

Thanks Ian, I hope we will be looking back on this in 2-3 months and thinking YASSS :)

I definitely plan on it. I've been concentrating on social media too but am now returning to my content. I keep getting distracted by social media, lol

The little tiny voice you hear is 100% correct ... This takes time and you MUST be patient and keep working. If you do not do this you are choosing to fail and I don't see you as that type of person.

ROCK ON!
E

Well said. :)

Thanks :)

E

Wow that was motivating to hear. No I'm not that kind of person, I'm gonna keep working and keep getting frustrated and whining and ranting but still will not stop until I c those god damn people rolling in - thank you! Much needed kick in the butt!

I love your attitude Eva and that is what it takes to make it in business ... a kick ass bag it tag it and sell it to the butcher in the store attitude. (a little Phish for you, lol)

You are doing fine and you will continue to as long as you keep your head on straight and follow through on your plan.

Hey, if you need anything do not be afraid to give me a shout.

I may need a kick someday myself and I expect nothing less than I provided you. :)

E

Love the Phish! I got such a kick out of all the support and ass kicks under my blog that I went straight to writing another post, WA is great man. I'm not one to blog often or ask often, I'm the sort of person to sit and figure into late hours of the night and ask only when I get so frustrated and wound up that I can't figure it on my own. But I will keep that in mind and thank you, and I will gladly provide copious amounts of ass kicking and support if you happen to need any! :) Thanks again for taking the time to engage in my little drama, much appreciated!

No little drama Eva, it's all life and it happens everyday ... what's little to some is huge to others.

Phish is cool too ... a little Bathtub Gin on right now ... what a jam band.

I will need that kick some day so keep your eyes peeled.
