Remember the Alamo.I mean your purpose!
“Remember the Alamo!” I do not mean to offendanyone if one has an unfavorable view
of some of the history of the USA, but I want to bring to mind what that onethought did.
“Remember the Alamo” galvanized a people andbrought them together. It gave them a burning
desire to press on and win! When times looked bleak, all one would have to saywas “remember the Alamo!”
and the peoples resolve returned! It reminded them of what their purpose wasand what they
were fighting for.
So I askyou, what is your Alamo? Why have you come to WA? We were asked when we signedup
what were some of the reasons we did and what were some of those goals. Do youremember those goals?
Do you remember the purpose of why you are here? When you signed up, did you think it was going to
be easy? Did you think just a little bit of work and then the money will come pouringin like magic?
Then when we find out that real work is need,we get discouraged. We think it is a way more work than
we thought. So we may go wander and get suckered in by some snake oil salespersonwho promises the world but
gives nothing but upsells galore!
So again I ask, what is your Alamo? Is it something along the lines of “I justwant to make a lot of money so
I can sit around and do nothing.” I really don’t think that will give a personthe drive to succeed. Is your
purpose something like “I am buried in debt and I want to dig my way out ofthat so as to provide a
better life for my family.” Now that can give a person purpose! That can bekindled into a fire to help drive
one to succeed. That can become one’s Alamo.
So when the times seem bleak, and theinformation that needs to be learned seems like a giant army that cannot be
overcome, just remember what your truly working towards! Remember why you aredoing this and don’t lose heart!
When you feel like you are overwhelmed gather your inner forces and shout out rememberthe Alamo, or better yet,
remember YOUR Alamo!

Great indeed.
My Alamo is to learn how to earn in a proper way, share people what I've learned while working for the financial goal and inspired others that in the long process of this journey, I will have a freedom for everything with my family :)
Thanks again Rene! In reading your reply it inspired me to create another blog. I don't see you as a person who plans to sit around and do nothing once they reach their goals. I see financial freedom as a way to become more busy. But busy with the things that are important to us!

Beautiful and inspiring post, thanks for sharing! My alamo is being free and true to myself at work. I wanted to feel fulfilled and useful and to always be able to learn and get better... and not stuck at the office. I wanted the money yes but before the money I wanted the freedom, the excitement... I joined so I would be able to build my dream wooden house... I joined so I would be able to travel the world... I just wanted to work hard and accomplish my (well deserved) dreams =)
Cheers
Sarah
