Nearly a new year, so a new start for .

Greeting people. Before I continue further, just going to wish you all a joyous Christmas and a healthy and Happy 2017.

So a new year is nearly upon us, and as such time to reflect on the past year, and look ahead to the new one.

Personally, my black dog came back to haunt me somewhat in 2016. I was put under pressure, and worse I made pressures for myself. I've also realised that my current profession is not giving me the joy and warmth that I require to be happy. Time to move on.

I know people close to me, Family, friends and my girlfriend, will be disappointed I'm not going to continue my career further in 2017. Optics has recently caused me pain, frustration and it isn't the place for me to achieve happiness anymore. So it's time to move on.

What am I going to do? I honestly don't know just yet, but I will tell you one thing. I will develop further the skills I have learnt here on, build my WA portfolio further, and definitely make some more money from here.

WA has given me the confidence to see that life can exist outside of what I was formally trained for. Just because I have a University degree doesn't mean I'm intelligent, I just studied hard.

So a new year dawns, and new beginnings for me awaits. I'm excited to explore what I can do. I certainly won't be dwelling on the past. We have been given eyes that look forward, so that's what I will be doing. Looking back causes pain and distress. I'm tired of that. No More!

Thanks to everyone on here that has read my rants and that have replied. The vast majority of comments have only been supportive and constructive. Only one person has been petty and negative- their loss.

I won't be signing for the next few days, as mentally and physically I need a rest. may I wish you all glad tidings, and a healthy, happy and prosperous start to 2017!
