Hi WA Friends!

Here's a quick post that shows how creating Pinterest pins can help your website rank on page one of Google, even in the midst of all the algorithm update mayhem!

A Little Background

After my guitar site was hit by the latest array of Google algorithm updates over the past three months, I started finding alternate ways to broaden my brand and send signals to Google that could help improve my ranking visibility on Google page one.

Why I Chose Pinterest

One of the social platforms/search engines I chose was Pinterest. Although the guitar niche is not strongly represented on Pinterest, it's quick and easy to automate with AI, and I love creating images of guitars and related equipment. Lol 😎

How Pinterest Results Can Rank Twice On Google!

Here's a recent example of two ways a Pinterest Pin can help rank on page one of Google.

1. Ranking in the Search Generative Experience (SGE)

Search generative experience is Google's AI search results tool that lets users quickly find a web page's key points, questions answered on the web page, and relevant sections to learn more.

Think of it as Bing's "Copilot."

It needs to be activated in your Google account from Google Beta Labs since it is still experimental. SGE won't appear in a Google incognito search screen since you're not signed in.

However, don't underestimate this beta version. SGE impacts an average of 85% of Google search queries!

Here is a screenshot of a standard Google search using a keyword for an article on my website.

Google's SGE Results.

As you can see, the Pinterest pin I created about one year ago (before I began automating pins with AI) is showing up in SGE, which takes a pin clicker to the article on my website. Google recognized the fact that my website is on Pinterest and referenced it in SGE between Reddit and Fender dot com.

2. Ranking in the Regular Google SERPS on Page One for Both Pinterest & My Site Article!

Searching for my article's keyword in a Google incognito window gives the following results.

Google page one search results using incognito mode.

Here, I'm ranking on page one for both the pin and the article on my website. Google has clearly gotten the message that my brand is on Pinterest! Even though I'm still underneath Quora's irrelevant and incorrect search results, the pin is helping me stay on page one.

I've also gotten similar results with Medium dot com!

Tell Me What You Think!

Are you using other search engine platforms like Pinterest and Medium to help you rank in Google's SGE and SERPS? What kind of results are you getting? Let me know in the comments.

Hello Frank

Thank you for sharing. I find this very interesting and I will definitely be using Pinterest more for my business. I really like that AI guitar image you shard it is so cool. What do you use to generate your images for your Pinterest pins? Thank you again for sharing. All the best to your success.

Regards

Timothy

Thanks, Tim! 😎

I use DALL-E 3 inside of ChatGPT4 to generate the images.

You're welcome and thank you to Frank

Hi Frank,
I love your post, your images !!!! and knowledge about how to use Pinterest.
I am a big Pinterest fun, I am using it to inspire since 2017 I believe, but I didn't know it's so "smart".
Do you have some links to give with tutorials related to automate the Pinterest post with AI ?

Rock ON!
Oana

Thanks, Oana! πŸ™

I don't really know that much about Pinterest; I just play around with it and discover things as I go. 😎

However, here are a few posts you might find helpful: Keep On Rockin' 🀘

Hi Frank, Pinterest addict here! ahahahaha!

I must say, Pinterest is the only social platform I am investing my time, in this early stages of my brand (not having registerred the domain yet) and reading your article I am more and more convinced!

Generating Ai images with Adobe Firefly (which is totally free) or with Leonardo.Ai which has free tier too, is just a joke!

The trick in Pinterest is not understimating the SEO part, always writing a good pin description and find relevant tags (with AI tool as Postpickr scheduling and tags are Ai assisted).

I knew all the artists and art directors make research on Pinterest, now that I know that even Google likes it, it will become my best friend :)))

Hi Romy

It sounds like you will have great success with Pinterest! πŸ‘πŸ˜Ž

I generate my pins with ChatGPT4, using DALL-E 3, and have AI generate the pin title description, etc. So, everything is done in one go.

Are you currently using Postpickr for your scheduling, and what do you think of it?

Rock On! 🀘
Frank 🎸

yes! I am using only PostPickr because I compared some different social media planning tools (Hootsuite, Buffer and many others) and honestly nobody gives you 12 channels to manage for that price!

There is a little trick you can use. Register for the free account and they will give you maybe 21 days of trials and then pass to the first tier (in this way, a new trial of 21 days will start again :)))

So you basically will have almost a month and half to test it for free!

I think it is very stable, it does perfectly its job and the price is affordable compared to others!

P.s. PostPickr has Chat-GTP integrated so you don't need to leave the tool for generate pins (you can use canva or your native graphics too!)

Hi Romy

Can you access your custom GPTS and DALL-E 3 using ChatGPT4 from inside of PostPickr?

Thanks for the info! 😎

Frank 🎸

yes of course Frank! You can generate images via Dall-E or via Canva and you have your AI virtual assistant for generating tags according to the test of the pin!

I should say I don't see the Dall-E version number but I will check and let you know!

Thanks, Romy! 😎

I have had no luck with Pinterest, no matter what I do, so I pretty much gave it up. I still pin my blog posts there, but there is no traffic, very few impressions, zero outbound clicks, and no Google traffic. Zero is absolutely dead, so people aren't interested in my brand, obviously. I happen to be one of the dumbest luck ever while others manage to get traffic while I get zero, so no matter how hard I work on PIns, it's just too time-consuming. You said you're having fun with it, I think you're insane. I see no fun in trying to make pins that lead me nowhere except down and down. So I asked for help but obviously what I am trying to do isn't working there.

Hi Brenda

I agree that you need to find social channels that work well and stick with them.

I wish my niche was more popular on Pinterest, but I really enjoy creating guitar-related images. Lol 😎

Frank 🎸

great! yeah, Pinterest does this in my case as well in the Serps, although I'd rather rank with a blog post ;-). Conversions are better then, as it takes less clicks. But I'm sure that this gets your domain authority up as well!
Love that picture!
Keep rocking
Lizzy

Thanks, Lizzy! πŸ™

Haha, I love that picture, too! Lol πŸ˜ƒ
