Hi WA Friends!

Now that the Super Bowl is over, it's back to the business of creating images with AI using custom GPTs.

Are you getting the detail you need from your images to make them CTA-worthy? This can be a key strategy for those using graphic search engines like Pinterest and Instagram!

What's a GPT & How to Build One

A GPT is a "Generative Pre-trained Transformer that you can build in OpenAI's ChatGPT if you have a paid version 4 account.

To build one, start by clicking on "Explore GPTs" in the left sidebar, then select "+ Create" in the top menu.

You will be walked through the rest of the process by the GPT. It's that easy!

Monitoring the GPT Output

You'll get a more targeted output if you ask your GPT to research the components of the image it's creating, summarize its findings, and wait for your approval before creating the graphic.

The GPT will use Bing to research the most useful published content and images and present its findings for you to review.

A Basic Example

Let's check out a quick example of what I'm talking about.

I want my custom GPT to create a Pinterest image of a 1959 tobacco bust Les Paul with a maple flame-top paired with a "road-worn" Marshall JCM-800 half-stack amplifier. The '59 Les Paul is universally considered the best year and the "Holy Grail" of guitars among most Rock players.

This pin should really turn some heads and get some outbound clicks to my website if it's done right!

The GPT's Findings

After doing a bit of research, the GPT gave me the following output:

"For the first pin, we'll focus on the iconic 1959 Gibson Les Paul guitar, renowned for its solid mahogany body paired with a maple top, contributing to its rich, warm tones. This classic model is distinguished by its single cutaway design, allowing easier access to the higher frets. It initially featured P-90 pickups, which were later replaced by humbucking pickups in 1957 for a fuller sound with reduced noise, marking a significant evolution in its design. The Les Paul has been celebrated for its versatility across various music genres, from rock and blues to jazz and metal, making it a favorite among many legendary musicians."

Next, let's explore the JCM800 Marshall stack amp to pair with the '59 Les Paul, which will require a separate search for detailed specifications and visual elements to accurately depict this iconic amplifier in the pin.

This amplifier revolutionized live music with its powerful overdriven output and distinctive look. The JCM800 Marshall stack, known for its 4x12" cabinets, was created to meet the demand for louder amplifiers, with the top "angled" cabinet (1960A) designed for clearer sound projection and the bottom "straight" cabinet (1960B) providing a solid bass foundation. This setup became a symbol of rock and roll, famously used by bands like The Who to achieve their groundbreaking sound.

I have a good understanding of the history and design of the 1959 tobacco-bust flame-top Les Paul and "road-worn" Marshall JCM-800 half-stack amplifier. Shall I create the pin?"

The Final Product

At this point, I feel comfortable that the GPT can provide me with a good image. I can always provide additional information that might help it narrow down the information it needs and ask it to repeat the research process.

Here's the pin the GPT produced on the first try:

Title: "Classic Rock Legacy: '59 Les Paul & Marshall JCM-800 Stack!"

Description: This pin captures the essence of classic rock, where every chord and riff resonates with the legacy of legends. Check out "(link to website article)" to harness the power of the guitar and amp that helped create the perfect Rock and Metal sound! Which timeless riff comes to mind when you see this legendary setup? Drop your favorite in the comments, and let's celebrate the music that made history!

Hashtags: #ClassicRock #59GibsonLesPaul #MarshallJcm800Amp #GuitarGear #RockLegends

Conclusion

It nailed the finish aging and checking on the guitar, and the amp looks like it's been lovingly gigged for years!

Here's an image of a real '59 Les Paul guitar, for comparison:

Sometimes, you may need to have it create a sequence of images, giving it instructions along the way until you get what you are looking for.

Hi there, Frank.

I've made 6 or 7 GPTS just for fun and had no idea what I was getting into.
My GPTs look nothing like yours. I guess I must have missed a step or two.
Can you do a training on how to set them up?

Rock on!
Rachele
p.s. Be back tomorrow.

That's mesmerizing !!

Haha, Thanks, Samuel! πŸ™

Holy crap, Frank! Thats a fantastic rendition.

I may have to look at that GPT more closely!

Rudy

Yeah, a very accurately detailed pin, Rudy! It makes me want to put aside this laptop and pick up a guitar! Haha 🀣

My Les Paul and "stack" amp pins are getting more saves and outbound clicks than other guitar and amp combinations, so I'm making lots of variations.

Rock On! 😎

Nice!

The rendition is amazing! No doubt you want to reach in and pick up the guitar to play!

Rudy

Hi Rudy

I just added a photo of the actual guitar into my post. Check it out, and you'll see how close the two images are! 😎
