Are Your Pins Close Enough For Rock And Roll?
(Title image by DALL-E 3)
Hi WA Friends!
Are you using AI to create your Pinterest pins, and if you are, are you stressing about the quality of your images?
Although there are obviously Pinterest categories that might require very accurate and precise images, like do-it-yourself niches, you might be surprised to find that creativity and uniqueness can make a pin more successful than nailing every little detail.
If you're not sure, have you created an audience avatar (buyer persona) for your niche?
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/frankb-1/blog/how-to-create-your-buyer-persona-using-chatgpt
My Niche, As An Example
I'm in the guitar niche, and I make it all about fun! My audience avatar is essentially a bunch of Rockers and Metal Head Bangers! Although my GPTs are designed to have AI research the details of the guitar, amp, or effect pedal on the internet before creating the pin image, do you think they would sweat the small details if the image really rocks?
Here are two examples of guitar player tattoo pins that are doing well, but each image has AI errors. I wasn't about to throw them away or even try to fix them in an app like Canva because, as a Rock and Metal guitar player, I know that my audience would not hesitate to click on them!
Example Pin #1
Metal Guitarist with Gibson Les Paul and Marshall Stack Amp Tattoo
This pin was modeled by AI to be "Ed" from the band Iron Maiden ripping a guitar solo. I wasn't happy with the way the hands were drawn because they looked a little too human. However, I know that my audience would love the image, so it was a keeper! Lol
Example Pin #2
Metal Guitarist with Fender Stratocaster and Laney Stack Amp Tattoo
The GPT that created this image misspelled the word "Laney," one of my favorite amps in the world, made famous by Black Sabbath's guitar player Tony Iommi. These are the type of hands I wanted in the first image above, but they look great here, too! Lol π
Once again, this image is super cool for the Metal genre, so I didn't bother to fix the spelling error.
Also, if these pins are used as body art, the tattoo artist can fix the hands in example #1 and the spelling in example #2.
Tell Me What You Think
Sometimes, it is better to spend our time creating and scheduling more pins than trying to get everything just right. Make your pinning more fun, and it won't seem like drudgery!
Are you being over-critical about the quality of your Pinterest images, or does your niche really require that level of accuracy and precision?

Hey, sunshine.
No, I am not.
The Pin Market is new to me.
I will learn through Kyle's Hubs training.
The images you share are somewhat disturbing.
Are they intended for a statement?
I will invoke the community on this. to get feedback for you.
The images are not you.
Kindest regards,
Paul from Canada.
Hi Paul
So sorry, and I hope I have not offended you in any way! Taken out of context, I can certainly see how the pins can be disturbing.
The images are intended to show that although they have some graphic flaws (the ones I pointed out in the post), they are still very popular among the Heavy Metal portion of my niche's audience and are getting lots of clicks, saves, and outbound clicks on Pinterest.
The first image was an attempt to create a guitar player tattoo in the style of the English Heavy Metal band "Iron Maiden." It is supposed to imitate the band's mascot "Ed," which appears in some form on each of their album covers in a different situation.
I attached a collage so you can see what I'm talking about.
I love a wide variety of music. It may surprise you to learn that my favorite musical genre is Opera.
All The Best! π

No worries, Paul. It's all good! ππ
Yeah, I saw Jesus Christ Superstar a few times back then - great stuff, for sure!
Pavarotti is one of my all-time favorites!
We are attending a Philharmonic Beethoven and Bronfman Gala this week, and I will not be wearing my Iron Maiden shirt. Lol
I'm deeply looking forward to the event!
Happy Hump Day π«

Take care.
Hey Frank
Those pins ROCK!! Great job!! π€
And a great point, too! I am guilty of being over critical of my own work, whether it be writing songs, learning guitar parts or most recently, working on video content. I do believe I am making progress though. Haha
Great pins of Ed!! And of course, the gear!
Keep Rockin those pins, Frank!! πΈππ€

Thank you for your input, Paul.
You are definitely entitled to your opinion, as am I.
Have a nice day!

Thanks so much, Tim! π
I knew the pins would amuse you! Lol π
Did you know that when Iron Maiden first started playing, they had a small picture they hung onstage over their equipment of a "skull-type figure" without a body, so they called it "Ed The Head." When they became popular, they kept it as their mascot, redesigned the face, and added the rest of the body. Haha π
Reaching our playing & recording goals and getting just the right sound can be lots of work, but that's part of the fun of being a musician and getting all the toys we need to do it, right? π
It sounds like your video efforts are progressing splendidly! ππ π
Rock the Hump Day! π€π«

If I were to get a tattoo, I would proudly wear either of them, Frank! Very nice! I just watched Jay's video about how to "amp" up our Dall-E (spelling?) images. Pretty cool! Here's the link in case you missed it: How to Easily Level Up Your DALL-E AI Images .
Have a great day!

Haha, Thanks, Karin! ππ
Yeah, I caught Jay's video and have used that DALL-E tool in the past. It's pretty cool!
