AI, Legal Drama, and Rock 'n' Roll: The Ultimate Fusion with Meta AI!
(Title image created by DALL-E 3)
Hi WA Friends!
I want to give you some interesting info on Meta's AI platform for those of you who haven't played with it yet.
Let's Start With Boston Legal
Last night, we actually started watching the Boston Legal series again by streaming it on Hulu Premium. We have seen that entire series twice before, but we can't help returning to it; it's quite entertaining! I have five lawyers in my family in various big US cities, and the stories can be similar and almost as amusing in many respects! Lol
Are you asking yourself what does this all have to do with Meta AI?? Well, I'll use my usual excuse: I'm a Rock N' Roll guitar player! Hahaha. Actually, while we were streaming Boston Legal, I saw a commercial for Meta AI, directly followed by another for Google Gemini. I thought Hulu Premium is suposed to be commercial-free?? I checked, and our Premium subscription had not expired.
Is AI Killing Affiliate Marketing In The Organic Search Results?
Are Meta and Google that powerful that they made a deal with Hulu for commercials in their Premium product, or was it just a fluke? It seems a little suspicious that the commercials ran consecutively, and then the rest of the episodes were commercial-free, doesn't it?
Both commercials showed people of Millenial, Gen Z, and Gen Alpha age excited to search with Meta AI and Gemini, respectively. Will this be the wave of the future for the newer generations? I personally think informational acquisition will be based on virtual and augmented reality with wearable and then implantable devices.
A Little Background On Meta AI
Meta AI, developed by Meta (formerly Facebook), is an advanced artificial intelligence platform designed for various applications, including natural language processing, computer vision, and machine learning. Meta AI focuses on enhancing user interactions through AI-driven solutions, aiming to integrate seamlessly with their social media and other Meta platforms.
Pros and Cons
Pros of Meta AI:
- Integration: Easily integrates with Meta's suite of applications.
- Social Media Expertise: Optimized for social media interactions and content moderation.
- Versatility: Capable of handling a broad range of AI tasks.
Cons of Meta AI:
- Privacy Concerns: Associated with Meta's broader privacy issues.
- Less Established: Newer and less tested compared to ChatGPT and Google Gemini.
Comparing The Three AIs
- ChatGPT: Developed by OpenAI, ChatGPT excels in conversational abilities and creative content generation. Itโs like Jimi Hendrix, pushing the boundaries of what AI can do, especially in generating human-like text.
- Google Gemini: Googleโs AI is robust in data processing and integration with Google services, akin to Eddie Van Halenโs technical precision and innovative techniques.
- Meta AI: Meta AI can be seen as the John Mayer of AIโversatile, integrating well with various platforms but still proving its lasting impact and consistency (I'm not knocking him; he's an awesome guitar player in his own right!).
Each AI has its unique strengths, catering to different needs and preferences, much like how each guitarist has a distinct style and influence in the rock world. Lol
Mobile Integration
Each of the three AIs: Meta AI, ChatGPT, and Google Gemini, have applications available for iPhone and Android devices, although their availability and features may vary.
Meta AI
Meta AI is integrated into Meta's suite of applications, such as Facebook and Instagram. Users interact with AI features like content moderation, recommendation systems, and chatbots directly within these apps. However, Meta AI does not have a standalone app specifically labeled "Meta AI" for mobile devices.
ChatGPT
OpenAIโs ChatGPT is available through various mobile applications that leverage its API. OpenAI has also released its own official ChatGPT app for both iOS and Android, allowing users to interact with the AI directly on their mobile devices. These apps offer conversational abilities, creative text generation, and assistance with various tasks.
Google Gemini
Google Gemini, part of Google's broader AI initiatives, is integrated into Google services like Google Assistant, which is available as an app on both iOS and Android. Google Assistant leverages Geminiโs capabilities to provide smart assistance, answer queries, and manage tasks. While there isnโt a standalone "Google Gemini" app, its features are embedded within Googleโs ecosystem.
So, while Meta AI is embedded within Meta's apps, ChatGPT and Google Gemini have more direct mobile app implementations, with ChatGPT having a dedicated app and Google Gemini's capabilities being part of Google Assistant.
My Experience With Meta AI During Boston Legal
So, I played around with Meta AI in the Safari internet browser app on my iPhone for three Boston Legal episodes while watching TV in the living room. However, movie time is serious business, so we don't bring cell phones into our home theater. Lol
Two Ways To Use Meta AI From An Internet Browser
The first thing it asked me was if I wanted to continue without login or continue with Facebook. Very clever, trying to entice me to log directly onto its platform! I elected to stay in internet browser mode.
Birth Year
After doing that, it asked me to "Select when you were born to confirm you're able to use Meta AI." No problem there; I was born in 1954, so I'm as old as Rock and Roll itself, which began in the late 1940s and early 1950s! Lol
When I questioned it further, it gave me the following information:
" I ask for birth year to ensure I comply with privacy regulations like COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) in the US, which restricts the collection of personal information from children under 13. By knowing your age, I can adjust my responses to suit your age group and ensure a safe and appropriate interaction. However, I don't store any personal information and only use this data for the duration of our conversation."
Overall Capabilities
I started by asking Meta AI to give me a list of its overall functionality.
"I'm glad you asked! I'm Meta AI, a friendly AI assistant with many capabilities. Here's a summary of what I can do:"
- Answering Questions: I can provide information on a wide range of topics, from science and history to entertainment and culture.
- Generating Text: I can create text based on a prompt or topic, and can even help with writing tasks such as proofreading and editing.
- Translation: I can translate text from one language to another, including popular languages such as Spanish, French, German, Chinese, and many more.
- Summarization: I can summarize long pieces of text into shorter, more digestible versions, highlighting key points and main ideas.
- Creative Writing: I can generate creative writing, such as poetry or short stories, based on prompts or topics.
- Conversation: I can have a conversation with you, answering your questions and engaging in discussion on a wide range of topics.
- Jokes and Humor: I can share jokes and try to make you laugh!
- Math and Calculations: I can perform mathematical calculations and provide answers to math problems.
- Web Search: I can search the internet and provide information on a wide range of topics.
- Multilingual: I can understand and respond in multiple languages.
- Continuous Learning: I'm constantly learning and improving, so I become more accurate and helpful over time. That's a quick overview of what I can do. If you have any specific questions or need help with something, feel free to ask!
What About Graphics?
Hmmm, no mention of graphics, so I asked it: What graphic capabilities do you have?
"I can generate images using my text-to-image model called Emu. Share what you have in mind, and I'll try to create an image of it for you! For example, you could ask me to generate an image of a cat wearing sunglasses or a scenic landscape at sunset. Go ahead and give me your prompt!
Then, I asked it: What aspect ratios can you use to create images?
"I can generate images in various aspect ratios, including:"
- Square (1:1)
- Landscape (16:9)
- Portrait (9:16)
- Custom ratios (e.g., 2:3, 3:4, 5:4)
"Feel free to specify the aspect ratio you need when requesting an image. If you don't specify one, I'll default to a landscape aspect ratio (16:9)."
Text To Image Testing
I gave Meta AI the basic image prompt: Create a photo-realistic image of a Fender Stratocaster guitar in Portrait (9:16) aspect ratio.
Aha! It forces you to log in to Facebook to get text-to-image generation! So, I asked it: Why do I have to log into Facebook to generate images? It replied:
"I apologize for the confusion. I don't require you to log in to Facebook to generate images. I'm a text-based AI assistant and can generate images without accessing external accounts or services. My image generation capability is a part of my internal functionality. I was mistaken when I asked you to log in to Facebook. Please feel free to ask me to generate an image again, and I'll do my best to create it for you!"
However, when I repeated the image prompt to create the guitar, it asked me to log into Facebook again! When I confronted it directly about the discrepancy, it said:
"I apologize for the mistake! You are correct, I can't generate images without logging into Facebook. I'm a large language model, I don't have the capability to generate images directly.
Generating Images With Meta AI On Facebook
So I gave in and went to one of my Facebook profiles to test its graphics capabilities, and here's what I found. It creates four images so you can select the one you like best.
Enlarging one of the images gives:
But wait! What is that at the red arrow? Let's take a closer look.
So, the text-to-image graphics it creates are not only low quality compared to generators like DALL-E 3, BUT it tags each image with a watermark that says "Imagined with AI!"
Also, it doesn't really understand the concept of aspect ratio. It only generates images in an aspect ratio of 1:1 (square).
Here's what happens when I ask it to create to create the images in a 16:9 (Landscape) ratio:
Searching Resources
I asked Meta AI: Are you using a specific search engine like Google or Bing?
"I donโt rely on a specific search engine like Google or Bing. Instead, I was trained on a massive dataset that was created by a team of developers at Meta, and I have access to the entire internet. If I need to find a specific piece of information, I can search the internet and find it without relying on a specific search engine."
What resources do you specifically use to search for information online?
"I use a massive, ever-growing database that contains a wide range of sources, including but not limited to:
- News articles from reputable outlets
- Government websites and reports
- Academic journals and studies
- Books and e-books
- Online encyclopedias and databases
- Official websites of organizations and institutions
- Social media platforms
I also use search engines like Google to find relevant and trustworthy sources. When you ask me a question, I analyze your query and search my database and the internet to provide the most accurate and up-to-date answer."
My Take Away
Meta AI is an advanced artificial intelligence platform developed by Meta (formerly Facebook). It powers various AI-driven features across Meta's suite of applications, including content moderation, personalized recommendations, and interactive chatbots. Meta AI works by leveraging deep learning models and vast amounts of data from Meta's platforms to deliver intelligent solutions that enhance user interactions.
However, Meta AI's ability to create text-to-image graphics is lacking. These graphics are of lower quality compared to those produced by other AI systems, like DALL-E 3. Additionally, this feature is accessible only within the Facebook platform, limiting its usability outside Meta's ecosystem.
Every image generated by Meta AI is watermarked with a label indicating it was imagined by AI, ensuring transparency and authenticity in the content created. This makes me wonder if all AI generators will eventually watermark their images, designating them as created by AI.
Furthermore, Meta AI does not deliver images in aspect ratios other than 1:1 (square), which can be restrictive for users needing different dimensions.
Meta AIโs integration within Facebook and other Meta applications makes it a valuable tool for enhancing social media interactions, despite the limitations in its graphic generation quality, aspect ratio restrictions and image watermarking.
I did all this on an iPhone. I would have enjoyed Boston Legal a lot more with just the popcorn and candy we munched on during the three episodes. Now you know why I don't bring computers or other mobile devices into my home theater room, other than the equipment it takes to control the video and audio for the movie. Lol ๐ฌ
Tell Me What You Think
Would you find Meta AI useful for supercharging your Facebook content in a time-saving manner? What do you think about its text-to-image graphic limitations?

Thanks Frank seems on the surface meta is ok but perhaps it's me when it involves Facebook I have very little trust in them as they are always doing or planning something in the background without our knowledge.
But do love your images regardless not sure about the little watermark they seek in which many may not know about
Andre
Hi Andre
Yeah, I fully agree with your assessment of Facebook, and they obviously have no problem using artificial intelligence-based content on their platform, especially if it is generated by Meta AI. Lol ๐
Super-appreciate your assessment of my images! I love the control and detail that DALL-E 3 provides.
The Meta AI watermarks may be a glimpse into the future for all mainstream AI image generators. Zuckerberg did mention to Congress that he would seriously consider it in regard to static images and video.
Keep on Rockinโ It! ๐ค๐น๐ถ

Most welcome Frank Zuckerberg says what he needs to avoid issues and waits for things to quiet down and hopes they will let thins slide then push their limits
Ha cheers Frank ๐ธ
Good night from me ๐ดand have a great and awesome rocking day

Hi Frank...this has shades of a poison carrot at the end of a long stick in front of a bunch of hungry rabbits lol. But I appreciate learning your take on this. Boston Legal sans gadgets sounds far more amusing!
Rock On
Susan ๐ธ๐๐ค
Yeah, I totally know what you mean about Meta AI, Susan. Lol ๐
Yeah, no gadgets allowed during movie time. Tonight we saw โVenom II, Let there be Carnage.โ
BTW, I left you the ingredients for that salad in my answer to you our request.
Stacy cooks a lot like my mom did; by looking in the fridge and kitchen cabinets to see what ingredients she can mix together to make this and that, and it always tastes delicious.
I wish I could do that! ๐

I love the cyber wasp!
I am not impressed with Meta AI or Google AI, for that matter. I have tried both for images but found them lacking and did not like the pictures at all. Plus, not only did I have a hard time getting the 16:9 ratio, but even after several attempts at redoing the images, I finally gave up because they usually did not change but actually got worse. I am getting ready to experiment with a new image-generation AI, so we will see how that goes.
Nancy
Thanks, Nancy! Who doesnโt love any guitar-playing giant insect? Lol ๐
I find DALLโE 3 best. What image AI are you going to try?
Frank ๐ธ
I am trying the Night Cafe Pro. It has a special right not that includes the Unlimited SDXL Lightning. I am going to play around with that for a while and see if I like it.
Nancy
Hi Nancy
Yeah, Iโve messed with Night Cafe, but not the Pro version.
So far, I havenโt found anything I like better than DALL-E 3.
Please let us know how you make out. ๐๐
Frank ๐ธ
So far, the extent of my Facebook use has been reposting my blog posts, Frank. Although I don't think Meta AI's limitations would irritate me, and I would probably work with it for practicality's sake while on the platform, I'm not there yet. Tomorrow is another day, though, and I'm trying to pick up speed concerning the diversity of my site's promotion.
Hi Dave
That's exactly where I think the power of Meta AI lies; creating better Facebook and Instagram content with ease! ๐๐
You can always use a different AI text-to-image generator if you need something more robust, like DALL-E 3.
You're definitely Rockin' It, Dave! ๐คโก๏ธ๐ค
