Monday Motivation 25 March 2019 - Be Present
Today I am reminding myself of the importance to Be Present. Particularly when unexpected change has happened in my world over the past week and all outside of my control.
Although I either meditate or practice yoga daily, I am a tad annoyed at myself for letting my emotions get the better of me on occasion over this past week.
As a mentor of mine says regularly, Feelings are not real.
So going to the beach tonight to Be Present and in the moment and enjoy natures sunset.
What do you do to remain mindful and present?

I think taking a time out is important, perhaps even a bit of meditation. Just wondering about the statement, "Feelings are not real". There are times while working on my site I find it necessary to smoke a lot of Cannabis
What I mean by 'feelings are not real' is to observe them not 'buy into them' (easier said than done) and use as a guide to know if you're on the right path... I find meditation helps with this
Great message. I go for a walk with my dogs and my wife each afternoon. We live in a rural area and it is just great, peaceful and quiet except at weekends when the 4 by 4 drivers come along, but that’s ok! This helps me reset when I need to, never fails.
Lovely we have cats but I look forward to having 2 dogs so I can walk daily too - because they make you!
I remind myself of all the good in my life, pet my fur babies and take a long walk as needed.
I need to be mindful of being mindful as it's not always a given. When I do think about it, I'm ironing. Other times when I need a 'moment' I will count something in my environment, tiles on a ceiling or flecks of dust on a desk. I listen to guided meditations every night as I fall asleep. Every little helps.
Sometimes when I feel things are out of my control which they usually are (lol )I sit down and meditate I practice something called the Mirror or the Mind by Jose Silva and go in my head in my ideal place and just stay. I have to say thank you for all the blessings I have in my life that are often taken for granted but after that, I always feel better

Feelings or emotions they are there, but I don't let them control my life. Maybe for a fraction of the time, but not in a way that it takes over my life in a negative spiral. Meditation or something similar in whatever form help me with that as well doing activities that are totally different. So it makes it more easy to control my mindset.
I always tell people whatever course the negative mindset let it go if you can't change it, if you can change it to the better then change it.
Have a great time on the beach
