Show interest in helping

While monitoring the actions in the bank, every now an then I would go over and talk with her and I eventually gave her some water. By this time she was so please with the help I had given her she started to talk about her family and how many years she had been working in the nursing industry. Right there and then we started to build a friendship relationship. Eventually her time came up and she got through and left, but not before telling a heart-full thanks.
One bright morning while standing in the bank and monitoring things, I felt someone tugging at my jacket, when I looked around it was that same old lady who I had help a few days earlier and this time she brought a friend of hers, whom she had told about me and how nice I was to her. Due to my kindness and being interested in helping I gained a new friend.
Now you might be wondering whats all this for. What I am showing here is networking through caring and helping. Don't try to sell the product or site too much. Just show how it can help. Show genuine interest in the the person and in helping and your network will grow beyond your wildest dreams. Right there and then I started a network.

Now that's a great analogy. I could care less about encouragement or a slap on the back, but I do need the "Nuts and Bolts" and in simple black and white! Someone posted recently about making sure that everything we write about is of a helpful, possibly a teaching nature. This was a great analogy on networking... good job!
It is heartwarming to hear of acts of random kindness. Started my day with a smile.Thank you for sharing.
