Why Jaaxy Is Like a Magazine Store

Not too many magazine stores left these day, but I think you'll get the idea. You see I'm on a new kick to help the world in 2014. I thought I'd start out with the new members in WA., and help some of the more experienced remember their roots.

"I'll never give up my Jaaxy!"

As many at WA already know Jaaxy is about keyword research, actually a lot more! While I've toyed with cancelling my WA membership, I'll never give up my Jaaxy. Why?

Jaaxy tells me what questions people are asking.

How valuable is that!

And, it tell me how often they're asking and show me similar questions. Now, there are lots of fellow internet marketeers looking at similar (but not as good) info, so I want the advantage of knowing exactly what keywords are being used.

Jaaxy and the Magazine Store

Think of starting a new magazine as starting a new web site. Think of searching on Jaaxy as going to a Magazine Store and talking with the owner (Google) about which magazines (keywords) are popular. Ask him to see the hard copy of the competition. Pick up the competing magazines and look inside. What would make buyers want to buy my magazine and not the other?

I'll make my own keywords popular

Importantly, do you really want to venture out and spend my time exploring an unproven venue - a web site that's not designed to rank with "low-hanging fruit"-type keywords. They answer could be "yes", but I'd advise you to get some in-dept experience and investors. You're going to need it.

As Larry Paige, one of the co-owners of Google says, 'Make a billion dollar marketing plan, and be prepared to suffer only making a million'.

I believe in thinking big, but ranking on the internet is cruel. Google wants to put your site in the right magazine rack. It relies on you to supply the right keywords for your chosen magazine category. Use keywords that puts your site in the "unknown" category section and the store will not suggest your magazine.

Are you financially and emotionally prepared to be keyword challenged?

Don't select a niche with keywords with "low hanging fruit" keywords. Don't optimize to get the traffic. Only a few on the top of the ranking get significant amounts of traffic. Who wants to follow the herd anyways?

Can you succeed without organic traffic? Or, why would you want to exclude the traffic?

You could still somehow succeed by forging your own keyword path. But, be prepared for a bumpy and frustrating road.

Seemingly not using keywords optimization

Believe me I get it! For a long time I've not written blogs using strict SEO rules. What a relief! I just put my researched keywords in the title and first paragrah and type away! However, without the discipline of liberally inserting keywords through the Page or Post. It's easy and deadly to get off track. Google doesn't like this!

I'm growing fond of Brain Storming!

Further, the Brain Storming tab at the Jaaxy Magazine Stand tells me what is trending. Hot new stuff with lots of viewers anxious for information. How valuable is that! And, there is a lot more features to make affiliate marketing easier.

In the midst of confusion - latch onto something familar

As someone who has and still does publish a printed magazine, I wouldn't even consider spending my time and effort without doing this basic research!

Guard your time like your house

Building a web site is an investment in a digital property. While you may not be investing a lot of money, you're investing your time. Waste your time and every day your dreams of financial independence go by the way-side. Would you build a house not knowing the location? A physical store without knowing the traffic patterns.

Taking your own path

Believe me I'm as independent as they come! But, I've learned unless you have a lot of start-up money, it's not a good idea to downplay niche and keyword research. You're going to need that organic search traffic.

Social Media

Very important for getting traffic and running an internet business! But, you can only get there after great niche selection and keyword research. Afterall, it's deadly for your site if people start saying negative things about your site. Or, you have to buy all of your traffic.

Everyday I talk to WA members telling me they're "taking their own path." Agh! Ok! I guess they think they'll be buying up all the copies of their own magazine.

Superb blog! Of the same mind. Though I'm a newbie I love Jaaxy!

Thanks Wayne, and I signed up to Copyblogger as well.

Send me a private message and let me look at your niche.

Done

This article really made me think. Are you saying that a person should research key words and questions before they ever write a page or post? I was going to start writing but I dont want my content to be average, I want it to be great.

Absolutely, positively do the research first. There are some keywords with no chance of you getting any traffic. Then based on the research and your personal interest pick a niche. Get a free online subscription at Copyblogger.com. Read their daily blog about how to write. It'll quickly and dramatically improve your writing. Notice how they write using second person.

I have already chosen a niche.... its very difficult to try and decide what to write within that niche tho Im finding. This helps alot. And I will sign up for that free subscription. Thank you so much.

I love searching for keywords pertaining to my niche even when I am not composing a post, just for future ideas. Heck, I think WA is addicting, lol

The interesting word is "pertaining." I've found better to think in terms of keywords buyers would enter for searches, rather than searches alone - an important distinction! When the traffic builds you need sales to happen. Absolutely necessary to know which keywords are driving buyers.

I share your thoughts about Jaaxy.
Sometimes it kills me by eating time!:)

I agree. Thank you for sharing this post.

Some great pieces of info in here Wayne. I think it comes down to choosing a niche that you are interested in and interested in "learning" about. If you are constantly learning about a niche and the people within it, you are never going to run dry of keywords or ideas or what to write about.

I am always having a peak at the Brainstorm tab within Jaaxy as well. It gives me a finger on the pulse of what is going on today.
