Participating in discussions can give one the 'feel good factor.' I remember when I first did this part of the training - 2 years ago, I had my moments of utter frustration. On the forum I met some fellow members who are going through that not so nice phase, because I have been there before I could give authentic feedback. It just reminded me of the importance of each one teaching one.
It took a lot of drive because I was really exhausted from my other day assignments, but then someone agreed to hold me accountable: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/maxiam59I completed the remainder of Lesson 3 - which was the bit about participating in the discussions and looking at the work of others and giving feedback. I think that is a really important bit. I remember during my days as a newbie - comments and feedback from others kept me going. While agreeing with the view that that self m
There was a time I stopped writing blog posts here, I just figured it did not make much sense since it did not contribute anything to my website(s). Wrong. Well this is what I have discovered, the less I communicate here the less work I do. I think it is about accountability. When I write and share my progress and lack of it I feel obliged to put in some minutes! So today I will continue with Bootcamp 1 Lesson 3 for I must account for it by the end of the day.So someone out there - hold me acco
Did not complete the assignment for today but getting there -I am using a new site I started working on some months ago and then aborted. Retaking the course is forcing me to attend to it - hopefully it will soon be available for comment. It has been a very busy day - but I had to do the 10 minutes for today, turned out to be more than 30! Thanks Nathaniell for this: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/nathaniell/blog/10...
I have just completed my Lesson 2 of revising Bootcamp 1. I am surprised by how easily one forgets basic things, and businesses do go off the rail as a result of overlooking the basics. I found the part about finding a target audience really helpful: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/target-au... Looking forward to my Day 3.
Lesson 1 Bootcamp repeat done! I like that it reminded me to give others feedback, something one forgets after a while yet when I first started I used to get a lot of encouragement from the feedback I got from others. Looking forward to tomorrow!
There are no shortcuts in life - at least that is what I was told by my grandfather and b my parents - their point was - you have to spend time at school and get a good education otherwise you are doomed. Well that was how they understood and saw the world. It may well be different because as an adult I have met many people who are carrying a template that is very different from the one I was given as a little girl. One thing is clear though - whatever it is you want you have to work for it and
That is what I seem to be doing these days - trying to strike a balance between the here and now (H&N) demands and a possible tomorrow (PT). There are days and even weeks, God knows even months when I allow the H&N to take precedence. The problem is - at the end of it all I feel as though I would have worked hard but hardly worked. Am I the only one that gets that feeling? My PT always seems to suffer because even when I shelve it - in the short term nothing seems to go wrong - it is whe
After losing a number of loved ones over the last year, I have learnt that everyday is an opportunity - a present (pun intended) to make a difference. In 2015 the bulk of my energy went towards firstly setting up FLAME Girls College - which thank God is opening its doors to the first mainstream intake in two weeks' time; concluding my PhD studies - which ae done and dusted; and using whatever time was left to come and have fun here.I am excited about the new year - very excited - for starters I
