My First Blog!
Hi everyone.
This is quite daunting for me - I have never, ever written a blog before - ever! But I am serious about making a success of this endeavour, and I want to move up the ranks in WA, so here goes!
As those of you who have read my profile will know, I am a very big fan of Deepak Chopra. I think you will realize then, that I am very much into the power of the mind and the fact that the subtle influences the gross.
I am currently reading one of his older books - SynchroDestiny (I think it was published under a different name in the US). While laying the foundation for the book, he discusses quantum physics and other experiments in that field. Amongst these, he mentions Cleve Baxter (or Backster according to Google) who was mostly known for his work with plants. However, he did also do experiments on human cells and in the 1970's he carried out a number of these.
Now, while I am pretty familiar with how quantum physics is proving that the world is anything but what we have always been led to believe, (especially in the West, where the focus has been on left-brain logical thinking for many centuries now) and while I know that thoughts are real things and very powerful, I was absolutely astounded by one of Cleve Baxter's experiments mentioned by Deepak.
On this day he was isolating white cells from a sample of his saliva, which were connected to an EEG type machine, in order for him to study them. He then had the idea to make a small cut on the back of his hand in order to see how this might affect the cells he was studying. With this in mind , he went in search of a blade to cut himself with. When he got back to his desk, he glanced at the readout from the equipment and found that it had ALREADY registered intense activity from the white cells, even though he had not cut himself yet!
This information hit me like a hammer between the eyes! I wonder if any of you will find this as impressive as I did? It means that just having the intention can have an immediate effect on one's environment - scary stuff! As I mentioned, I have been involved one way or another with mind power, the Law of Attraction and similar modalities for many years now, and knew how important the energy we put out was, but I had never realized how subtle and immediate the results were, and had allowed myself to go down the slippery slope of getting caught up in the day-to-day drama of my (unfortunately) never boring life!
So people, watch your thoughts, watch your emotions even more closely (it's easier to become aware of your emotions than to control your thoughts), and be careful what you wish for - you might just get it! :-)

Yes, finding true awareness is few and far between. I relate to quantum physics and quantum meta physics quite well. I can't do the math, but I truly understand the concept, quite fascinating I must say. Thank you for sharing this. :))
No, that is the sequel to What the Bleep, isn't it? That movie had a huge impact on me because, while the material was nothing new to me, as I am such a visual person, it really hit home
Well done on your first blog! I am currently re-reading one of Tony Robbins books! Good here, success is sure to follow!
Thanks Tiffany! Yes, I think so too - the community spirit is so great here, the only way is up!
Welcome to WA and well done for creating your first blog. This is really an awesome place to be and there is always help close by. Yes, there is great power within our thoughts and emotions and through awareness we can create the reality we wish to exist in. Blessings and success your way. :)))
Thanks so much Abigail - good to meet you here. I see we have very similar interests, so I will definitely be having a closer look at your various posts!
Well done on your first post!
I use a lot of LOA tools and have a bio feedback system which Deepak Chopra is involved with (Wild Divine).
Good blog. :)
Thanks so much Catherine (or do you prefer Kathy?)
I have not heard of Wild Divine - just Googled it - will look at it in more detail later...
Kathy, is what I'm known by although my Mother still calls me Kathryn if she's annoyed with me!
Wild Divine have just bought out a new wireless product for smart pads, out of my price range at the moment though. I bought my current system from Ebay, a fraction of the new cost!
Hi Eunice! -
Well Done!!
A Great - interesting post - held my attention - throughout!

** Have a Great Productive Day - Eunice! **
David
And remember Rome wasn't built in a day...but they were laying bricks everyday!
Thanks so much for the encouragement David - it's really helpful, as I am very nervous about this!
Hi again David
I have just gone through your 3 posts and found them very interesting, especially the last one, so thanks for that. With regard to that post, I have a question. I started with a niche website, then decided to change course and go for the bootcamp first, as I am recommending WA to friends, so I thought I might as well make some money from it. With this in mind, and also the fact that the subject of my blog is a huge part of my life, do you think it is a good idea to have this as one of my themes on my site, ie, self improvement/motivation?
Thanks again for the encouragement
Eunice
Hi Eunice! -
I wouldn't mix subjects - ie - 'make money' and self improvement.
As the 'self improvement/motivation' niche is your passion - I suggest you work on a Website with that theme!
Leave the Wealthy Affiliate site for another time - if ever!
Forget the 'Affiliate Bootcamp'.
Click the GREEN - 'Get Started Here' button - and see where it takes you! :)
Thanks for that Dave, but I've already changed horses in mid stream once, so think I need to get on and make this one work first before going on to the next. Just need to find the right angle for me!

You'r scaring me... but in a good way!
:) Yes, it is daunting, as you need to become hyper-vigilant - I know, because, despite knowing this stuff, I have let myself get caught up in the "stuff" going on in my life, and boy, am I paying for it now! But the good thing is that I can change it, which is so liberating. I really would not like to be back in the days before I knew that I am completely responsible for my own reality, as it is such a powerless, hopeless feeling. If you are interested in this stuff, I can really recommend the book, by the way...
