I Don't Have Time For This
I became a premium member on January 4th this year, 2 hours before the 1st month premium membership discount expires. Yes, I actually waited for the countdown to wind down. I know that if I have not made that decision, I would have not yet done anything to explore what WA has to offer.
With a full time job, mommy duties and other extra-curricular activities, I thought I don't have time for this. I never thought I would ever have time to sit down and go through all the trainings on top of all the dynamic interactions within the community.
But today, I earned a certification badge as I've finally completed the level 1 training! It may have taken me longer than most, but I'm pleased with what I have accomplished thus far.
How I did it? I looked at all lessons within the level 1 course and set a target date of when I would be completing it based on my available times in a day. I had temporarily deleted my FB app to avoid going through notifications, which usually ends up in endless scrolling of news feeds. I avoided checking out movies on Netflix and Prime Video, which is my typical past time before retiring to bed.
It's been proven time and again that to achieve your goal, you have to invest time and work for it. We have the time, we just need to manage it well.

Keep going! I signed up around this time last year and it's definitely taken me wayyy longer than most people. I even restarted the training last month and it was tough to do it through the holidays, but it's worth it. I made the mistake of completely letting it go (as in forgetting about the training) and it was a huge mistake. You're doing great, better than I did! Looking forward to seeing you succeed.

It's amazing how much more time we have on our hands than we realise. Social media is great but it's like a time vacuum, just sucks it all away! I am not as disciplined with Social Media as I need to be, reading your post here has motivated me - thank you.

Hi Louise, thank you for reading and for the kind words. I used to be very active on social media especially on FB. I tried many times to get off it but have been unsuccessful. But this time, I even surprised myself that I can actually live without FB lol. I will go back to it though soon as I’ve completed all the trainings and ready to share my piece of the internet.

Congrats on completing level one, Ethel! Yes, it's all up to managing time wisely and focusing on getting the top priorities done first. I used to work full time and kids, dogs, etc. when I started here too, so just do as much as you can when you can...it's not a race! Every little bit adds up over time.
I rarely watch TV, and the phone notifications and social media are both ones that can trap a person for hours, so I avoid that too until I get what I need to get done..well, I try to anyways, lol. I've started shutting the sound off my cell phone and wow, it works wonders to have no interruptions.
Anyways, keep up the good work!

Everyone can find the time if they just look for it and
when I hear people say I do not have time for that
it makes me wonder why they cannot give up a TV
program for an hour every night or skip doing all the
Social Media stuff they are always on their phones!

This is an amazing post. Thanks for sharing. You will succeed and do you know why I can say that by reading one post from you? Because you did something that most don't do. You disciplined yourself and accomplished your goals in your time frame. In other words, you controlled all the things wihin your circle of control.
