The Ebbs and Flows of Your Wealthy Affiliate Business

I think it's human nature to want instant results. We all want them, but at the same time our more logical self realizes it takes work to accomplish great things. This concept is exceptionally true in business. Whether you have a traditional brick and mortar business, or an online affiliate marketing business, consistency and hard work are the keys to success.

And when we do have our highs, we never want them to stop, right? We've suddenly hit the jackpot and the fruits of our labor are showing themselves. But always remember that there are ebbs and flows in every business.

Some things are completely out of our control. We can't force people to buy what we're promoting, and sometimes outside factors can cause us to think we're doing something wrong when our results slow down.

This is where trusting the system, trusting ourselves, and remaining consistent play such an important role.

Trust Your Past Successes and Trust Your Training

In some businesses, no matter what you do you will find seasonal lulls. When this happens, and you know you're doing good work, do you freak out and change your whole system? Of course not.

You may look to tweak this or adjust that, but you have to trust in your past successes that business will bounce back. What's worked before will continue to work again when you maintain your drive and focus so that your customer (or audience) is getting the best experience possible.

Let's say Google tweaks their algorithm. All your good SEO juju is suddenly gone. Your posts aren't ranking like they used to, and sure, you're freaking out just a little. This is normal :)

And while any good business man or woman may investigate and look to tweak certain things to adapt to this change, you don't want to do anything drastic. Consistency is key here. You don't want to turn things upside down only to have Google tweak their algorithm again and find yourself back at square one, right?

Fall back on your good training. It's what got you to your successes in the first place right? Maybe you've gotten just a little lax in certain areas. Did your writing schedule slow down a bit? Did you get a little lazy with your SEO? Falling back on your training can be a nice wake up call to make sure you put out a consistent product even as years go by.

And even if you didn't get lazy or lose a step, it's great practice to perform a systems check every now and again. The people at the top are there for a reason, and it sure isn't complacency, right?

Affiliate Marketing & Online Business Take Patience & Drive

When you're first beginning your journey, it's all about patience. So many starting off feel like they're doing something wrong because they're not getting traffic. Or it's a lack of referrals that must mean that Wealthy Affiliate and the training here just isn't working.

The truth is the training at Wealthy Affiliate works. And it works very well.

It just takes patience. There are people here who get referrals at 10 times the pace I do. What's the difference? Time and experience. And those are two things that can't be shortcut.

So that's where your drive comes in. Keep your head down and work. Don't worry about traffic or analytics. Fight that urge to open up Search Console. Just keep your head down and write quality content. Fall back on your training. Be consistent.

Personally, I'm much happier creating content that delivers data than analyzing data from my content.

Good Practice Makes Perfect

The training at Wealthy Affiliate has been creating success stories for years. Don't try to reinvent the wheel thinking you're the first brain to arrive in this platform. Come at this with the mindset of a complete rookie.

It's easy to be given the task of writing a 1500 word post and thinking to yourself, "Well my audience won't sit through 1500 words so I'm going to make my posts shorter and to the point for a better reader experience." Don't sell yourself short. Follow the training that's working.

There is a method to the madness here, and every lesson in every course is a small piece of the larger puzzle even if you don't see it right away. Follow it to a tee, and you'll find that the consistency and quality we're being trained to create absolutely delivers.

Keep Your Head Up

No matter the ebbs and flows that your business endures, when you trust the system, success follows. When there are lulls, falling back on the training that we know works will bring us the consistency to bounce back. When we continue good practices, being patient and driven, we achieve eve greater successes than before.

That's why Wealthy Affiliate works and will continue to work for years to come.
