Elementor vs Block Editor - Why You Should Choose the WP Default
It's time for your daily dose of Wordpress Wisdom! I've seen a lot of discussion lately talking about Elementor and some of the issues that can arise from using it. First and foremost there is nothing wrong with using the Elementor plugin. If you're proficient with it, more power to you! However, if you're a beginner I would say there is a huge argument for simply becoming proficient with the default block editor over adding an extra expense to your business by choosing Elementor Pro. In this video I'll lay out why I feel the way I do and why choosing WP's default content creator can lead to more efficiency and conversions!

Can't say I have ever used Elementor Eric... I was pleased with the classic editor back then!!!
But now the Block editor is in play... I was a little sceptical about changing to begin with mind, but now....
I get my hands dirty with it at every possible opportunity!!
And I absolutely love it!!

When I first saw the WordPress Classic Editor I started laughing because I thought it was a joke. 🤣
I’m surprised that WordPress has not sunset it yet.

Agreed. When it first became the default, I didn't understand its benefit, or why every single paragraph was a new block, and then the more and more I got into it the more and more intuitive it became, and now there's only upside to what it will become.

As one who uses Elementor, I understand the dilemma.
When I first started using Elementor, Classic editor was still viable, I had no interest in learning Gutenberg.
Now that the WP editor uses blocks, straight across the board, you have two different yet similar block editors.
Through the years, and recent updates, Elementor still has the better design option with all of the widgets visible in the dashboard layout, which is something I prefer, especially because I can create a block of favorite widgets that I use often.
Elementor and WordPress work well together, and I use the GeneratePress premium theme.
I still use Classic editor (why? because it is still updated to stay current) along with Elementor Pro.
Together they provide all of the things I want or need when creating the website layout, specifically, the templates, which help to create a uniform static page.

I think if you played with the block editor more it might just win you over. All the things you listed as reasons you like elementor are available in the block editor.
But I will never understand still using the classic editor! 😂

Before I found this fantastic place, I started out with Elementor and you're right, this is easier. Or maybe the experts here are just that much better at teaching! That's what I believe!
