How I Added $1000+ To My Income In 6 Weeks
I'be been quiet on my WA blog for a while... more than a year actually, I've been busy working on my site. Since my last report where I'd grown my site to $100 per month, it's now close to $2000 per month (in New Zealand dollars).
My niche is super competitive (homewares/furniture) and I'd been struggling with ranking against many much bigger and more authoritative sites than mine using products based in the USA.
It was easiest to find afffiliate programs in the USA via platforms like ShareaSale, but I had a lightbulb moment where I realized that there weren't actually many reviews for products in my niche in other countries. I started writing overviews of my niche market for each country to start getting rankings in other countries.
After our lockdown finished and people were spending money again, I partnered up with two local brands who I'd mentioned in my NZ overview and wrote an article each for their products, and spent some time writing compare/contrast articles.
I'm pretty much the only person reviewing these products, so I ranked straight away. I've driven thousands of dollars of revenue to these two local brands and earned $500+ from each of them so far (June 10 - July 23).
Not only does it feel nice to partner more with local brands I can actually build more of a relationship with, I get a great affiliate income from them too.
Thought I'd share this tip with anyone who's struggling in a competitive niche, thinking outside the box a little with your keyword research can pay off big time.
