It is NOT All About SEO
Hello WA Family ππ
Good morning from Arizona. How's your weekend going? Did you have a great week?
Yesterday I had a wonderful day as it was Amelia's 2nd birthday. Initially I wanted to post 2 articles from ny drafts in Site Content but I could only manage to post 1 article yesterday before 11am.
I had to cook, finish up the birthday decorations, etc. So, we celebrated her birthday just with the three of us. My husband, Amelia and I took tons of pictures, ate chocolate cakes, had video calls with my parents and sibling.
My sister, Dini, is still in the hospital for COVID19. She is waiting for her 2nd swab test results. They say there are more people infected by the virus after Ied Al Ftri. People didn't practice social distancing and kept visiting their family and friends during the festivity.
Right, back to that one blog post that I published yesterday. It was indexed at night around 7pm. I found it out this morning. I was so tired last night because after Amelia's birthday party I had to teach for an hour, so I didn't check my email.
So, how do we get a blog post being indexed on the same day in Google?
By any means, I am no expert in SEO and writing. English is not even my first language.
On my previous blog post about the same topic I had mentioned Jay's Ninja tricks which are:
1. Meta title
2. Meta description
3. Keyword in content
4. Alt tag within an image
5. Internal links
6. External links
7. Video embedded
See this training:
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/seo-101-the-basics
I tried to implement those tricks on my post yesterday. It was written in over 2K words (had this drafted for 3 days, procrastination...gotta slap myself for it), AVG less than 10, Traffic less than 10, QSR 2, SEO 85.
I also implemented some tricks from Jeffreybs: keyword in bold first paragraph and end your article with your keyword in the last paragraph heading tag. Thanks a lot, Jeff. π π π
If you have implemented all those and don't find your article being indexed in Google, then what's next?
Check whether you have done these:
1. Do you have Google Search Console (GSC) setup? Verified your domain on Google Search Console. If you haven't already and don't know what to do, contact Site Support and send them the unique code GSC give you.
See this training:
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/setting-up-google-search-console
2. Have you submitted your Sitemap to GSC?
See this training:
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/submit-sitemap-google-search-console
3. Do you use URL Inspection Tool within GSC? Everytime I post a new article, I copy the URL, then I go to GSC and paste it onto the URL Inspection engine. Since it is a new post, it won't be indexed just like that even though i have setup GSC. So, I click REQUEST INDEXING and then see TEST LIVE URL.
See this training:

"I've done all that too but I still don't get my article indexed in Google, how come?"
This morning I read the communication between 3 members about it, one of them is a professional writer and proofreader. She's one of our Ambassadors, DianeScorpio. (I hope it is okay to share this to other members in this post).
The answer could also be in our writing. Is it genuinely written by ourselves or are we copied and pasted it from authoritative sites (any sites really)? If we don't paraphrase well, Google might read our post as a duplicate.
Sometimes we do paraphrase, but the plagiarism engine could still read the percentage of "similar" words, phrases, or sentences. We can check plagiarism percentage using Grammarly or other tools. If you purchased Grammarly Pro, you'd be able to see the percentage of "copied and pasted content."
I forgot what my ESL Professor use in order to check our papers, I need to get back to my notes in college.
What if I use "quote" and add a link to the source?
We still NEED to paraphrase it. Write it the way we understand the sentence.
Diane said, "by simply adding quotation marks means it can still be read by Google and seen as duplicate. You need to use the blockquote format. However, even if you use this method, it should be to highlight a quote from a particular named author, not as a way of using a block of text from anither website. Obviously, if it was permitted, then people would just copy entire articles and out them in quotes."
See, there are many factors and reasons why our articles being indexed in Google. It is not all about SEO. Great SEO practice is important, but we also need to see other factors as well.
Again, it's not a race. We just want to make sure we do the right things and implement the knowledge we got from WA training.
I am NOT posting this to brag about my post yesterday. I too am still learning. So, let's learn from each other. We are in this together. A big community at WA. We are a family. We help each other out. ππΌπ
Please share your thoughts in the comment section below. I'd love to hear them.
Have a great weekend.
Stay safe, happy and healthy everyone!

Hi Tommy,
I apologize for the super late reply.
I just visited your website. It looks great. I love the AI assistance on the side in getting people's name and email. It's an extra thing we can do if people don't opt-in through our autoresponder.
What plugin do you use?
On Jaaxy, to check your page rank, click on J Research tab under in the menu bar your profile picture > then click on Site rank. Insert the keywords and the website URL. :)
All the best,
Ferra

Hi Ferra,
Thank you for sharing your experience and linking the relevant training here.
I am fairly new at WA and have not got as far as the details you mention here BUT today is going to be about implementing the recommendations before I go to sleep.
Sharing is caring. I will also share your article with the wider community.

Good job. Seems you are doing everything correctly. After you submit a few of your blogs through G Console, google will start coming back on its own.
Hello,
Thank you for stopping by and leaving a kind comment.
Have a great weekend!

Hi Ferra,
Thank you for the response back Ferra. Those are new trainings for me and I need to go through them and take action.
My posts are not 100% finished. I still need to do some linking and update some more things. Do you recommend taking action for this training right now ? Is it okay if they are not completely done with linking etc.,? Isn't it too soon to do so ? What do you think?
Thank you for your help,
Meena
Hi Meena,
It is okay for a post does not have internal links when we first started. However, you could try to add at least one external link from an authority site or from Wikipedia. As long as the link is relevant to your post and niche, you should be fine.
Also, we can always go back to edit our old posts and update them. Google loves updated posts.
As for affiliate links, it would probably too early for the first two months. But then again, there is no rules set in the stones for this as well since Google regularly changes their algorithms.
If we already approved by some affiliate programs, in my opinion, as long as our link is relevant and moderate (not too much, not spammy), we should be fine.
I remember Jay said we can start to put links after the fold when people need to scroll down our blog post.
So, probably after 300 words or so.
All the best,
Ferra
Okay thank you very much Ferra.
If I would want to apply for Amazon Affiliate, should I contact them myself? I have everything they require eg. review, affiliate disclosure, privacy policy and 18 published so far.
Hi Meena,
How many posts do you have in your website so far? According to Amazon, they'd like to see at least 10 posts (read their page screenshot in the attached pic). We should make 3 qualified sales within 180 days in order to be approved and stay in their program.
Besides the Affiliate Disclosure page, we should have another short paragraph for it in every page (not in the footer).
Mine sound like this:
"This post may contain affiliate links, which means I make a small commission off purchases, at no extra cost to you. Read my full disclosure here. Thank you for supporting the work I put on this site!" (I linked the word "here" with my Affiliate Disclosure page)
Then, I follow their newest affiliate disclosure requirement (just want to be safe), I add this after the Amazon product I promote on mu blog post.
"As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases."

When you think you're ready, you can apply to join Amazon here:

Check out this training if you haven't already: Affiliate Disclosures, FTC Guidelines, and Amazon Rules All the best,
Ferra
Thank you Ferra for the trainings and for all the links.
I will go through them. I think I should finish off whichever contents I am lift with and then apply because they mentioned your posts should be 60 days recent. Yeah I have more posts than what they are requiring.
Have a wonderful evening and keep up the best work!
Meena
