7 Amazingly Catchy Headlines Examples and a Powerful Tip

Hello everyone!

This has been another super productive week and I'm keeping up with all the tasks Kyle has assigned us.

One thing that I've been able to practice more these past days is creating Catchy Headlines. So I thought I could share a few discoveries with you.

I remember Kyle saying numerous times through the certifications that we should be creative when we write our headlines.

The problem is that sometimes we think we've come up with an Awesome Sentence just to find out that our readers don't agree with us.

That's why I looked for and luckily found a pretty interesting website that analyzes any headline we type in there.

It's called CoSchedule (look for the headline-analyzer feature).

These are the aspects it evaluates on any given headline:

  • Word Balance
  • Headline Type
  • Length Analysis
  • The first and last three words
  • Keywords
  • Sentiment

For the Headline I created for this Blog Post, I got a 68:

Okay, I could do better but I was kind of in a hurry... :-)

Now let me give you the 7 Examples of Catchy Headlines I promised.

I discovered these folks a few months ago, and I downloaded their "How to Write Headlines" pdf. I think you only get access to it for a short amount of time.

I didn't want to pay for their service, but yes, there are some great words to spice up headlines in the pdf.

Great to know. Thanks!
All the best.

You do not have any good keyword in these titles. Catchy title is not enough if nobody sees it in SERPs.

Thanks for your comment. I appreciate that you took the time to read my post and leave your comment.

When I joined WA, you were one of the first ones I started following because of your posts. I felt I could learn a great deal from you.

And I was right! You experienced and have a lot to share.

That being said, let me say that I respect your opinion and partially agree with it.

If you’re talking about plain SEO you’re right, catchy headlines with no quality keywords will do no good for you.

But with some practice, one can combine quality keywords with words like the catchy ones I showed in my post.

Also, you can make great use of headlines like those, on Facebook and other Social Media, attracting followers, and engage with them.

Just as an example, I believe this was the first time you ever left a comment on a blog I wrote. I wonder if that had anything to do with the headline I chose this time?

Again, thanks for leaving a comment and provoking my answer.

We may not agree on everything but I know I can always learn a lot from you.
I’ll be looking forward to your next post or training.

All the best!
Eliane

You are very kind to me. Thank you. Yes you are totally right about these titles used in social media.

Hi Elaine,
I use CoSchedule for my headlines too. I love the tool but what I find difficult is to use low hanging fruit keywords and get great results from Co-Schedule.

Well done to you :)

Yes, Valerie, you've got a point there.

Whenever that happens to me, I keep the keyword as is and I add one or two words to the headline and see how CoSchedule scores it.

Then I just play with those extra words, trying to reach a better score.

Thanks for your comment.

Thanks for that information Eliane.
I think lack patience is my problem.

lol
I think that's the problem of us all.

Yep all good.

Thanks for the comment, Goran.

All the best!
