What Is Your Black Friday Strategy? The Clock Is Ticking.

This year I am going all out with my Black Friday strategy. I am promoting the Wealthy Affiliate Black Friday deals. This makes sense since my niche is Make Money Online. And I have narrowed it down specifically to online marketing training.

There are a couple of challenges that I want to share.

Facebook in all its wisdom, has deemed my affiliate marketing website violates its community guidelines. Hence, I cannot post links to my articles on Facebook. They stop that dead in its tracks. Pinterest and LinkedIn have no issues with my website.

Here's the fascinating thing. I can post my Wealthy Affiliate links all day on Facebook and they encourage it by trying to entice me to purchase PPC ads. This is actually a good thing.

OK< here's my strategy. If anyone cares to critique it, I welcome that.

Step 1 - Pinterest & LinkedIn

Write a Black Friday 2021 blog post for my website. Done.

I learned something new in this Blog.

I have let my Amazon Associates membership stay dormant. The reason is, my MMO niche doesn't relate to Amazon very well. Or so I thought. Until now.

Besides the need for Wealthy Affiliate, I also brought up the need to take advantage of laptop sales that is critical to omes affiliate marketing business.

I earned how to use the Block Editor to create columns. Then I had to figure out how to capture the product code on Amazon and paste that into my website into the left column. On the right column, I wrote a summary of the key specs.

Laptops!

Five seemed like a decent number of laptops to showcase. They each had different characteristics that would appeal to individuals with different objectives.

I stated what these were to help them make a buying decision. This was my thinking. If I can link technology to an online business in some way, it was fair game.

Then use it in my Pinterest business pin. Then write a post on LinkedIn ending with the link to my post. Done!

When I created a Pinterest Pin on Canva, it let me post it to my Pinterest account directly. Once that was done, I went to Pinterest and performed some editing.

Next, I wrote a blog post on Linkedin and ended it with a link to my website Black Friday post. Voila! My featured image was automatically imported that had the link embedded. Hence, I was able to delete the URL link and let the featured image do the job. Of course, my call to action was for the reader to click that image to get to my website post.

Step 2 - Facebook

Some of you may have read my Black Friday blog post here that I posted yesterday. There was no real merit in doing that for Wealthy Affiliate members.

Everyone here, except for a few, saw the publicity about the WA Black Friday program originated by Kyle. Why did I write this post then?

Da Dum! So I could use its affiliate link to post on Facebook. I wrote an introduction with the first few words as follows:

"If someone offered you a university-level course in affiliate marketing for $99 a month, would you think they are out of their mind? What if they said it not only included classes but also free hosting for 50 of your websites? Now let's throw in high-powered tools to perform Keyword and Affiliate Program Research? That surely convinced you they were nuts. How could they do it? It gets better. But I'll let you read about it here:"

That's all I wrote, followed by the Wealthy Affiliate extraction that Facebook uses.

The Facebook Angle

Facebook keeps trying to plug its WhatsApp program. They insist I need to have prospects call me or contact me via WhatsApp. Since this is linked to my phone number, I have no interest in that angle.

However, you can see how Facebook displays this summary of my Wealthy Affiliate post with the affiliate link buried within it. When a person clicks this they get connected with my Blog Post on WA. After a minute or two, the WA free sign-up form is shown to them.

My object is to help them sign up as a free member and then upgrade to Premium Plus during the sale.

Start With Premium Plus

No messing here. I am promoting Premium Plus and only using Premium as a down-sell. Rather than the opposite. The cost for Premium Plus is extremely reasonable, there is no incentive to do otherwise. Unless they are truly on a tight budget. Then is it perfectly OK to opt for the Premium subscription?

Step 3 - Preparing For New Referrals

Has anyone seen the WA ticking clock counting down to the WA Black Friday Sales? If you haven't, here it is:

If you're wondering how to access this, first download the Black Friday banner. Then paste it into your blog When you click it, this active graphic appears.

Notice the Join Now button? When you click that the following sign up form appears:

Wealthy Affiliate has set this up so that prospects can join as a free member prior to the Sales start date and then upgrade during the sale.

Since these are all connected to my WA affiliate program, anyone signing up will appear as a new free referral. Then it will be up to me to remind them about the Black Friday sale as soon as it goes active.

In preparation for that, I am writing a new message that I will schedule to go out to ALL my free referrals the second the clock strikes midnight November 26th.

Penny For Your Thoughts!

Ok, so there you have it. I am open to any other options I should be using to maximize my efforts and hopefully the results,

I am making this effort with the full expectation that I will get a few new referrals. What if all of this falls flat?

It will not be the end of the world. I had to develop several new skills, some of which I shared above. I also had to create these funnels that can be used anytime in the future. Even when there are NO Black Friday sales. I can throw in special sign-up bonuses of my own to sweeten the pot. This was fun to do and I feel I am already ahead, no matter what the outcome.

What are your thoughts? Please share what are you doing for Black Friday? But only if you care to.

I wish you much success in your affiliate marketing business.

Cheers!

Edwin

Edwin,
I felt the urgency of this post, and it aligned with an inner urgency within myself!
I really liked this post and learned quite a bit from reading it and Kyle's post at the same time.
Before now I never could understand all of that, as people would sort of vaguely point to it, and leave out the meat!
But I wasn't quite ready yet either.
I turned 70 in August and really want to get above the low, low poverty level, just blow it up over some time and a bunch of consistent effort.
I also chose to follow you, as you have a huge "track record: over there==> in an encyclopedia of posts.
I have a lot of trouble seeing what Jay teaches, and have been doing flex-pay on a new computer with a bigger screen, and have one more payment in December, and a final payment in January.
Thank you so very much. I am following you, so would you please follow me back, and I'm going over to read your profile, Edwin.
Suzay

Hello Suzay,

Thank you immensely for your supportive comments. Join the senior club as I’m five years older than you. When you read my story in my profile you’ll get a good idea why I’m here.

You’re not alone as I also have to go over Jay’s webinars a few times for the lessons to sink in.

When I want to implement his teaching into my website, I review the recording and use pauses and regular rewinds to make sure I’m doing what he says correctly. The initial live presentation only gives me a general idea about what Jay is doing. I’ve always been a slow learner.

When I did part time teaching in Math in England to adults, the students found it easy to understand my lessons. The reason being I explained things to them in a way I needed it to be explained to me. Hence, it makes sense why you were able to comprehend my blog posts.

I do a lot of teaching on my affiliate marketing website. If you wish you can access it through my website listings on my profile page.

You can learn to figure all this out. I wish you much success in building my online business.

Cheers!

Edwin

Black Friday for me; is very busy with my Amazon business.

Thank you Judith. that is surely a direction to work toward! You are helping me to see more of the possibilities that are out there!
Zay

Edwin, yes I will take a look at all of that. Again, thank you for your generosity and wisdom.
Suzay

I am not going to lie, but Amazon is hard work.

If I find anything along the WAy. whatever time it may take to bump into it, I'll find you and we can both pros and cons it, OK? Because all endeavors take time, which can produce more and what drives that?
What limits? Just thinking out loud. Thank you,
Suzay🌺

Do video marketing, Edwin. Today, most people prefer to watch than read.

Great point Timotheus. I have set certain income goals for my blog post to prove I can succeed even in a small way without video.

My laptop is not powerful enough to do video editing. I will invest in a better computer using earnings from my blog post so that I can create decent videos.

By the way I do have a YouTube Channel that posts videos of concerts I’ve attended of young pop artists. Very little editing was necessary. I have over 14,000 subs. I am considering converting that channel into a music niche featuring content I prepare.

However, I would need to start a new channel for making videos on my MMO blog since it’s a different niche.

That doesn’t mean I’m not going to learn about video for affiliate marketing. I’ve reached the video training in Bootcamp and will be experimenting in making videos based on my blogs. If you can give me any tips here for a slow learner I’d appreciate it.

All the best to you.

Cheers!

Edwin

I'm really impressed with you and your answer. I can relate to the thoughtful way you pick the path through all of the information, and there are tons of information here at WA! I think your organization skills are better than mine by more than 5 years. LOL!
Looking forward to getting to know you better.
Have a pleasant Thanksgiving, and or weekend with those you love.
Thank you Edwin,
Suzay

You have provided a few great ideas on how to promote the WA black Friday special offer.

Where did you find the BF banners? I searched for them yet did not find any, especially that countdown banner.

I've got to post my article, it's already Tuesday..

Rudy

Hi Rudy,

Go to Banners. Use the Pull-Down menu at the top left to select the Black Friday option. When you place these banners in your promotion, anyone clicking it will see the countdown banner.

Since you are already a member you cannot see it when you click the banner in your promotion. Unless you copy the link and place it in your browser using the incognito mode.

Does this help?

Edwin

I will try that out. Thanks!

Rudy

Thanks! I found my banners!

Rudy

Great to know Rudy!

Good on you Edwin, if this is not preparation, than I don't know what is. You are very well prepared for the Black Friday event and I wish you great success.
I have been posting on LinkdIn and on facebook as my MMO website is not wet complete. Fingers crossed.

Hi Helen,

Thanks for your supportive comments. Keep at it. I wish you much success with your efforts.

Edwin

Thank you Edwin.

Great post. Very informative and I enjoyed all of the comments!
Suzay 🌺

I'm standing pat right now, Edwin! I hopefully will be more prepared to promote this by next year hopefully!

You have a firm foundation, and I wish you all the best success, my friend!

Jeff

Thanks Jeff. This time last year I felt the same way.I told myself I would be better prepared next year. And that worked. It will work for you next year.

Cheers.

Edwin

I certainly hope so, Edwin!

Jeff

Dear Jeff, we are not called hopers, are we? No way! What we are is called (it begins with a Be), because next year, that is exactly how it will Be!

Be'ers, Suzay? It sounds almost like Beers, and I'm good with that either way! 🍺🍺

Jeff🤪

Believing in Beers, you are funny. Beers believing in you!
And both of us are up to bat for Black Friday next year, and you already have a head start!
Zay!

I've got mine locked in from 2018, Suzay! I'm happy with the arrangement that I already have!

Jeff

Hi Jeff, how are you?

Hey, Judy! Haven't seem you around for a while! How are you, my friend?

Jeff
