How to succeed at Wealthy Affiliate

A new member asked how they could make money by following the Wealthy Affiliate program and how long it would take.

Having come across this question many times, I provided the following answer based on my personal experience so far. I was then encouraged to put it into a blog so here it is...........

I understand your question and concerns regarding whether you can make money with the wealthy affiliate system.

The system taught here is a proven way to create an online affiliate marketing business. Every aspect of the training is set up for you to achieve that goal.

There are two ways you can go about things. Firstly, you can use the training to set up your own niche website. If you follow the training to the letter and take in everything you are taught and implement it on your site then you WILL become an authority within your niche through time. During the training, you will be taught how to monetize your website. This will allow you to review and advertise products on your site. If people buy those products through your site then you will earn commission from those sales. The key in this approach is to become an authority within your chosen niche.

As you build your website, you will see traffic to your site increase. As your traffic increases, the search engines will increasingly recognise you as an authority within your chosen field. Once you become an authority, then people will trust your site and what you recommend to them by way of products. At this stage, you will be seeing very high volumes of traffic coming to your site on a consistent basis. You will also see sales happen on a very regular basis.

The second model you can use here is to promote Wealthy Affiliate. The approach is the same as the first model. Follow the training through the Bootcamp, The aim with this model is to get people to sign up to Wealthy Affiliate. When someone signs up you will receive a commission on their monthly or yearly payment.

It is difficult to give advice on what model to follow. What I can say is that the overall model of creating an online business taught here at Wealthy Affiliate has been tried and tested. It has worked and continues to work for thousands of people on a daily basis.

My own example began 6 months ago. I began the training to build my own niche website around hearing loss. I am severely hard of hearing so it was a natural niche for me to chose. Helping others with hearing loss is a passion of mine.

I followed the training faithfully and it took me about 3 months to complete the course. During that time I never made a penny. I had committed myself to the long haul so just kept doing what the training had taught me. Even though I hadn't earned any money yet, I could see the progress I was making. I learned so much in those first few months. I knew that if I continued to follow the training then everything else would follow.

My website has been up and running for just over 6 months now. I have 76 posts on it. My site is getting more and more traffic every day. For the last 2 months, I have been getting a minimum of 4 sales per month. Considering that my average commission from each sale is £200 then you can see that I have very quickly gone from nothing to approximately £800 per month or ($1000).

My goals for the remainder of this year is to get my website to be the number 1 ranked site with the search engines. If I can achieve that then more sales will follow. I have also helped hundreds of people through my site to date with advice on a whole range of hearing health issues. One mother read one of my posts regarding the symptoms of hearing loss in children. She recognised some of the symptoms in her daughter and took her to the doctor. The child now wears hearing aids and is thriving. Thats what I call real success.

There are 2 pieces of advice I would give to anyone joining Wealthy Affiliate.

Firstly, follow the training to the letter. Don't be tempted to skip parts of it if things seem to be going slow. The training is structured in such a way that every part of it is interlinked. If you skip parts then you will find trouble on down the line. Remember, this training has helped thousands to achieve the same success you want to achieve.

Secondly, Don't give up. People today tend to want instant success. The method taught here at Wealthy Affiliate is geared towards building a long term sustainable online business. Rome wasn't built in a day. Building success takes time. Every task you complete, every article you write, every lesson you finish is simply another step to YOUR SUCCESS. Don't quit.
