Time for graphics. I really don't want to pay for graphics/pictures one by one.
So looking for a reputable site with licensed material that I can get a la carte.
Are there subscription graphic websites?

This will get you started. OK, this is. DISGUSTING ! Just. Ugh. Rich also recommends Stockunlimited. He reads all the terms of service and he says they have one of the better copyright protection clauses. You can also sign up for a month for $9, grab all the images you want and cancel.
Thank you Cory.
In the process of checking them out.
After all of the posts about downloading and using unlicensed material ..... I sure don't want to get into that can of worms.
Ed
Yeah, Rich is probably the best source of info on that. He takes it really seriously, so he does a great job of checking those things out. He'll be the first to tell you there's always risk, but the choices he recommends probably have the least risk involved.
Thanks Cory
I went ahead and subscribed to Stockunlimited.
Sounds legit and secure. Lots of stuff there!

Made it happen. Sometimes the solutions are right in front of face. Needed some help on that one though.

When developing ones website, which offers the greater likability to both the reader and Google?
One large page full of information or one that is broke up and linked to
I wouldn’t assume that just because you have a large number of indexed pages that you automatically get a high-ranking. That’s not the case.
The more pages you have, the more chances you have to rank for different keywords. Plus, the more pages you have, the more likely you have more overall links and PageRank, which do directly impact your rankings. But the number of pages on a specific site, does not have a direct ranking benefit.
Stan
Thank you for your answer. You have given me a more correct perspective. I always thought of ALL pages contributing to the overall whole of the website rating.
I never thought about the fact that each page is a world of its own with it's own title, keywords and ratings.
Therefore, sounds like many would be better. That being the case then, it would seem that the menu would become too large if there are many topics. Or would one use sub menus?
Do you mind sharing a link. I like to learn by example. I don't know whether I am stepping out of bounds by asking that.
I guess your name then is Stephen. I do thank you for that. I like your layout and how you use your links.
I am just over a week on WA. Still putting my website together. I am doing it behind the curtain though (in draft mode) until I have enough material on my pages and then I will throw it up.
I get a few ideas here and there and put them together in my own way.
Thanks again Stephen
Sound like a plan. But I hope I can make a recommendation for you. You should not wait to publish your content.
1. You won't be getting much traffic at this time
2. It will commit you to improving the content
Our content is never perfect. I placed a post about two weeks ago that I changed 6 times. I have seen your writing here on your blogs. This in themselves are of a quality to post. Make the jump Ed. You won't regret it.
Thanks. I understand your perspective. However, let me give you a behind the curtain tour. Time is of no concern to me. I am slow and methodical. I have my front page and am researching content and analyzing how best to present it.
I have the body of the car. Just now putting the steering wheel on. The motor seems to running good. I have to put the seats in yet, fabric or leather. I have no tires yet. No its's not ready for the showroom yet.
My goal is to have it completed within a month. I have only been swimming in the water for a week and half. I'm not sinking. Just going stroke by stroke. The other side is in view.

I have searched high and low for a menu with these features:
Anywhere on the page if you scroll up and a popup menu appears.
You scroll down and the menu disappears.<
I'm not quite sure whether I've understood exactly what you're looking for but it sounds like a sticky menu, which would be theme dependent.
Have a look at something like Customizr https://wordpress.org/themes/customizr/ which I believe has an option to make the menu sticky when scrolling.
Rich
No not a sticky menu.
What actually appears is an icon link. That is the familiar little square box with the three horizontal lines. when it appears it will pop up off to the side when the reader scrolls up. if they were to click on it then a drop down menu would appear.
So now understand that if they scroll down the page the little icon disappears. They scroll up and the icon appears.
Now the reader ALWAYS has access to the menu ,,,, no matter where they are on the page.
Yes, you do need a theme that has a sticky menu option. The hamburger icon (the three horizontal lines) occurs on mobile when the actual menu would obscure the content. If the theme supports a sticky menu, the hamburger icon will therefore also be sticky and scroll with the content.
If you preview Customizr you'll see that it provides this function https://wordpress.org/themes/customizr/
Rich
Thanks It didn't know that icon had a name.
Yes And I can see your point on using a sticky menu. I thought that it would be best for the icon to just disappear completely when scrolling down, however it really is small enough that it will not obscure or be a nuisance to the reader.
I am using the template available on WA, Ascent. I did find the quick edit for the page to create a sticky post. Since I am a rooky at WP I am going thru a learning curve here, Not to sure yet how to bring the hamburger to the stove. :)
