Yay ! I'm Page 1 on Google
I'm Top of the Google charts baby !
It looks like some of my hard work is paying off.
So I just did a random search of my main keyword for an article I wrote almost 3 months ago and I'm ranking # 1 on Google.
How did that happen ?
This was a much needed confidence booster and haven't really done any SEO tricks except for picking a good low hanging fruit keyword.
I also ran a few twitter and Facebook ads as well, so all up the investment of $15 odd bucks was well worth it.
I got most of my engagement through social media, but I also have to give credit to the effectiveness of the fantastic pay it forward system here, it really does make a difference.

Believe me I'm still a bit shocked myself. :-O
I think it's largely due to a promo I ran on a product review that generated a fair bit of interest and traffic to the post as well as site comments. So basically the more traffic, comments and engagement on that post, the higher your rankings on that keyword.
