OK, Lets talk RANKINGS !
In my humble opinion, and don't think I'm being negative!

As far as rankings go, I'm going to be straight up and tell you that focusing too much of your energy on rankings can actually be detrimental to your effectiveness. Fo sho, It is good to be active in the community and I am not the most social but also have lots of other projects going on ( 1 music album to produce, 3 websites to finish and 2 courses, so I am trying to find balance myself.

Sure it is beneficial to help people in chat if you have the knowledge to do so, but a few people I have noticed are giving advice when they themselves haven't even completed the training.

I actually wrote my first training yesterday and it felt good to see my ranking drop, but didn't do it for rankings.
Psychologically speaking we all want that extra edge and feel good buzz , but if there's any advice I can give you it would be, that building your website / business and completing the training should be your number one priority.

Also , try not focus on failure. Failure is inevitable, but it is also our teacher. Its a right of passage in many ways.

Believe me I and many others have come close to giving up many times and I'm the biggest skeptic there is.
Yep, 6 months in and I am slowly gaining traction but I haven't made a dime YET , but I am still learning the ropes too.

FAILURE is just a nasty little fire ant biting our asses into action !

I have lost momentum many times due to the fear of failure and then asked myself, is it the thought of failure that scares me or the feeling of failure itself ? The thought of it is terrifying, but even taking a little action each day counts for something.

Motivational Tips.

1. Do the training at your own pace !

2. Write down your short term non financial goals

3. Don't spend longer than 45 -1 hour in chat, because you need to be working on your website. Yo !

Lol. WELL, I've been up ALL night, WA not allowing me to sign in .. Thought I got kicked off for using another website builder. :( I've been bummed all night Wondering "wtf do I do now!?" just sat there, clipping coupons for a friend. Closed my niche down. . Turned VPN on my router, trying to make a new account. Something was wrong and it blew ASS.

But I'm still here!!!Checkin' back in every hour on the hour.
Thing is, I'm a disabled housewife who also happens to be a 8 1/3 years recovering marijuana and alcohol addict so I CHOSE to stay away from people in the city I live in.. Therefor, I've got nothing but working on being successful to concentrate on, and it's made me happier than I've been in a long time.

I know I seem competetive ... and yes, I am.. but I had to do what I could while I couldn't do the training to feel as if I was still progressing, ya know? I'm just being a smartass eitherway. I'm a horribly cheesy-ass smartypants.

They brought it up because I've been having so many problems with the hosting program. I went to support, and they asked for an elaborating question and screen-caps. Number one, Like I knew how to explain it. Words, i dont work them with right talking the spot on... LOL. AND my computer was way too slow to hurry up and insta;; a screencapping app. Gotta LOVE chromebooks... Speciallly when they mess up, it's a special kind of mess up no one knows how to help with LOL

See? I think you yourself could take some time to see what's more important right now, putting the music off until you're ready to afford and automated softwear.. Sit down, yourself and write your goals down bubby. I've everything in priority if you haven't read my first niche blog, I've been working even to affiliate the stores they give cashback on.. LOL. It's kindof a badass idea sompared to the everyday "work from home" boring old stuff. Was thinging about calling it calling it Addiction Recovery CopingSkills for us Online Shopping addicts. :P LOL You just work with me.. and I've been playing the guitar since age 12, myself.. singing on stage since 15 as soon as my first manager had me write my first song... that makes no sense..at all... but everyone liked it cause all my songs are always catchy. One song went "ohhhh Tiana. I hvae a crush on your brother. OOOOOOh Tiana! I think i wanna be his babies momma" hahaha.. Good lord was a stoned way too much in my teen years. MORE in common... re a rambler like me. can't drink alcohol but they've got me on one high ass dose of adderall that would make a tweaker shit thei pants, the highest legal amount of klonopin allowed and my coffee with four exxpresso shots.... Might have something to do with it. LOL

It sure is a steep learning curve for someone who didn't find the idea of marketing that appealing to begin with.
I have allot more training videos to watch and will hopefully stick around and not give up.
Cant believe It's taken me til this week to properly commit to one niche as I could not figure out if I should be an affiliate site or a branded site in my interest which is music.

The community is very helpful,so I'll keep plugging away til it starts to makes sense.

I know there are lots of discussions on WA about this and I've read most of them,some are dated...

I've also read on other blogs that Google has upgraded it's Algorithms and that Exact name matches are no longer that relevant?
Choosing a niche and domain name for me has been a huge challenge."Should the domain name contain the exact keyword "or Not ? Should the domain name be "branded or an exact match." These questions have caused me sleepless nights ..lol

I've decided on making a coupon site aligned with my passion
and I'm still not even sure I've niched down correctly as the coupon niche is very competitive.

Ive spent way too much time on this and too little on creating content but I guess it's part of the
learning process.

Can you put this conundrum to rest for me with your knowledge of the current state of affairs regarding this to save my sanity,so I can get on with business..:)

Exact Match Domains still have their weighting in the Google Algorithm, although it is not what it once was (you used to be able to own the rankings just with your domain).

Have a read of this post, it will put things into perspective: Can I Be Involved in Several Niches? I personally choose a brandable domain if I am going for a long term authority site, if I am going for a mini type niche site and I am just attempt to rank under a few keywords, I might choose an EMD.
