At the top of my site pages a line appears with this URL: google13223732d10117c4.html. My questions are, what is it and how do I get rid of it?
Thank you!
Thank you for your help, everyone. Several days ago I was investigating how to verify my site. But I never got to the point where I actually pasted or uploaded anything. Very disheartening.
It sounds like you pasted the verification code in the wrong spot into your website or uploaded the file to the wrong spot using FTP. Did you paste the code in the header or use FTP?

Why is there a google url in my banner?

If you haven't fixed it yet then try this:
1) Activate a standard WordPress theme (Twenty Fifteen will do).
2) Delete your previous theme
3) Add new theme (your previous theme) with a fresh install
4) Activate your theme
Your problem should be fixed.

I'm really stuck. I just can't get the look and feel that I want from my WP theme. I can't get my main menu to format correctly. My search box runs the full width of my page. M
Every theme will have some limitations, so it's better to work with what you have than to try to change anything. Most changes will require coding if you don't see options in the Appearance settings or find a plugin to change what you want.
Premium themes often offer more customization features, but again, it's going to be limited to the basic structure of the theme you chose.
If you want a new look for your theme, sometimes choosing a different theme is easier than trying to change the one you have.
There are thousands of themes and they all have different ways of setting them up. The best advice I can give you is to find a theme that's almost perfect and tweak it to suit. Choose a New Theme ~Marion
I would agree with the others there are just too many to cover, see you have been given the link to word press, hope you manage to create the site you want
Hello Daniel,
Every theme is different because it was designed and developed by a different person or group. And there are thousands of WordPress themes on the web, so you won't find a tutorial for each one.
I'm assuming that you've already tried searching Google for tutorials for your theme, so the next step is to reach out to the author. The author of the theme usually offers support through a forum, whether that's through WordPress.org or through their personal website. I've seen authors supply users with full snippets of code to produce the look and feel that they want. But if what you want requires extensive code changes, then choosing another theme may be a better option.
There are too many themes to cover everything and they're all different
in the way you set them up.
So what theme are you using and can you be more specific in your questions.
Also, if I'm stuck with a theme I'll type into Google "this is my question, theme name" (replacing those words with your question and theme name). I usually find what I need to know.
Thank you. I did the Google search and found out that I may have to pay for the premium theme in order to fix my problems.
Did you change your theme? I'm not seeing the search box full width or the right column at the bottom of the page.
I am still using the same theme. Maybe my browser is just not formatting it correctly. What I see is a search box that goes all the way across the page and my right column is in the middle column at the bottom of the page. I think I'm going to try changing themes before I throw my laptop against the wall :)
Have you tried either googling your question using yout theme name or you tube they have some training on themes

Is there a tutorial that walks me through formatting themes?

I am having some second thoughts. I began with enthusiasm but then lost my plot line. So, if you have a moment I'd love to hear your input. I started a new site with the intent
sounds interesting and not sure if I have seen anything like that , the only way to know is to test the waters, I take it you have done your research on it, you can give niche idea's and perhaps some training alongside
You have nothing to lose by putting it to the test ... as I tell myself often "feel the fear but do it anyhow" let us know what you do :)
A niche website about niches? Interesting. In my humble opinion, I think you are on to something here. I took a quick look at your website and your content is good. You are off to a great start. Don't back out now!
Believe me when I say this, because as a writer this has happened to me hundreds of times and still does all the time: Just because your enthusiasm flags, doesn't mean the idea is a bust. It just means you are resisting your idea, probably because you are afraid that you will lose control over it. Guess what? You will. But that is okay. Just keep pushing through and take one thing at a time. Take tiny little baby steps if you have to, but please don't abandon your website.
One thing I was surprised to not see on your site was affiliate links for WA. It seems like this would be a perfect platform to get people to sign up – that way you would be handing them a (metaphorical) fish, and also giving them the opportunity to come here and learn how to fish for themselves. But maybe you have a reason for not going that route? Or is it still in development?
Thank you. Yes, promoting WA is still in the planning stage. I am holding off until I finish the bootcamp.
You don't have to a website promoting WA to promote WA. Do it in your About' page using the links found in the 'profile dashboard'. Check out Boomergp08's training here Can You Make Money at Wealthy Affiliate
I think it's something that could work. I know that a lot of the 'niche guys' put out free reports and niche research. This could be a good magnet to get people on your email list, then have some promos for website related stuff like plugins, themes, or a WA account.
Thank you, Nathaniell. This gives me something to really think about. In other words, offer the niche ideas for a free sign-up and then promote other affiliate products. Is that what you are saying?
That's one way. You can also just publish them to your website, then offer something related for the free signup...like "These are the 10 niches I don't publish to my website because they are so good...."
Then deliver the 10 niches for free, and eventually a promo for stuff that can help them build their niche websites.
There is a possibility for it. You got one problem though! You are goingto struggle pushing it to the WA community. Some might even see your post as spam because you are promoting a product or service on the forum which is forbidden. Also, if you're promoting wa as a business on the net, your developed niche outlines might be seen as an upsell. Just a thought. Wish you well with it.
It is not my desire at all to promote a product or service. I edited the question and removed the link. I am genuinely concerned that the time I put into developing the site will be for nothing.
Just my observation. I think you've got an interesting idea. I really hope you do well with it.

Is this niche idea worth pursuing?
