Dear Foodie
Hello,
Welcome to my bi-weekly food blog. Every other week I will send you a link to my food blog entitled Dear Foodie. The food blog will consist of any and everything that a foodie would enjoy. This includes art, fashion, food, wine, movies, social and table etiquette, restaurants, wineries, interior design, money,entrepreneurship,skincare,fitness,cosmetics,t.v. shows, jewelry, socialnetworking, live music, live plays, cooking, recipes, gardening, healthy gourmet food, cook books, romantic books, charity/giving, travel and travel tips, hairstyles, latest facials, relationships, sex, dancing, cigars, night-life,shoes,entertaining at home,Bed and Breakfasts, hotel and resorts, mixology, luxury cars, and yes even golf and tennis. So as you can see we have a lot to cover. So lets get started.........
Dear Foodie,
Understand that The Foodie is always on the hunt for the next cool, interesting and great restaurant. The Foodie enjoys the process of locating these elusive dining establishments. You see it easy to find non-interesting restaurants, chefs that have little or no creativity at all, restaurant owners that don't have a clue to what they're doing, management that have constant trouble with attrition, servers that are habitually late with food orders. These things are common place and as a result the mass public must suffer.
The Foodie must do a service for the public, our job is to be the ambassadors for the great restaurants. This will force people that wish to pursue the restaurant business to not settle for mediocrity. The Foodie must always expect perfection and excellence, and settle for greatness. Let's face it, if a restaurant even comes close to any of those adjectives that means it is at the very least, wonderful. We all respect and appreciate wonderful.
The Foodie relies on the views and observations of other foodies. We look for them online, we chat with them at established foodie approved restaurants, this is the way we can at least gauge the possibility of a great restaurant. It is the 80/20 rule, if 80% of us like a restaurant then it is “Foodie Approved” not 69% not 78% it must be at least at 80% to be officially “Foodie Approved” This collective working together, this appreciation for the culinary arts makes us powerful and very influential. In future blogs we will talk about this influence and how we can work together to insure great restaurants. This is what I want you to walk away with with this blog post.
The Foodie is only interested in a few things from a restaurant, Great Food, Great Service and Great Ambiance/Presentation. I put presentation and ambiance on the same tier because if a restaurant doesn'thave great ambiance then they better have great plate presentation, if they don'thave great plate presentation then they better have great ambiance. If they have both then you're really a happy diner. Everything above is icing on the cake (pun intended). If one of these things is missing, the experience is missing as well. In the future we will talk about the inner workings of the restaurant and why those ingredients are so important in making a restaurant and dining a wonderful experience. For all things food, feel free to visit www.foodies.social we also advocate www.privatewineclub.com
Until next time, Sit down and eat up!
Cheers,
DREW.

I look forward to checking out your foodie blog. I live in Santa Fe, NM and Santa Fe is a huge Foodie town with lots of great restaurants. :)
I can do that. I also own Chefs Tasting Menu.com so we will be featuring how to videos on that site with some of the top rated chefs in the world. Those videos will debut later this year around holiday time.
I'm glad you like it. In future blogs I will spotlight up and coming chefs as well as a wine feature. It's needed, we all eat, we may as well enjoy the experience when we can.
I'm a foodie myself and actually have been dying to see someone make a service like this.
