Amazon Affiliate Links!
Hey Y'all,
Hope everyone's Sunday is going well. OK, repeat after me. Today is going to be incredible! That was a bit weak. I am still on my first pot coffee myself. We'll try again later. (Yes I know the Dr. says no caffeine, but come on)
I have run into this problem with Amazon affiliate links 3 time in the last 2 days so I thought I would share one solution with you. To me it is the easiest way to add Amazon affiliate links to your text.
There are several ways to get your Amazon links. And almost all links can be massaged to work with your text with just a bit of HTML. But if you are not careful you might end up with a workable link that won't credit you for your sale.
This method takes the time and guess work out of the equation. Let's start at the beginning. Amazon Affiliate Links We all now how to get to the screen to find our links ,so we won't start that far back.
This is where the good stuff starts Product Linking. That not the best stuff. The best information is under reports so you can view your sales. But we need the links before we can make sales. And we need visitors to view our links which brings us right back to Kyle's training on quality relevant content. Without that all the affiliate links on the internet won't make a dime.
There are different options to choose from here but we are looking for a link to add to existing text so this is appears to be the best choice.
Looks simple and it is. Click get link and your good to go right? Well not so fast we have a few choices to make. Let's click get link.
OK we have our text only code . Simply highlight the text in our post click the link tool paste the link and we are good to go. I know all this already what are you wasting my time for you are asking?.......But wait there is more! That code will not work when you link it to your text. I can't provide a visual reference to it because it does not work. It goes no where when you click it. But it says it is a text link!!. Ya that is pretty sneaky. Well it is the way this code is written. It provides the text for you. If you link this to your text you get nothing, it wasn't written for that purpose. This code places the text on your page for you if you paste it into your text editor.
Now you can try to create the text of your post to work with that ugly link. That's not much of an option. You could play around with the code and possibly get it to work. Or you could do it the easy way. Which finally gets us to the reason for this post. ( I hear you, it is about time!)
Amazon affiliate links to add to your text the easy way.
Yes I know we were just here. We clicked get links, which makes perfect sense. We clicked text link, which again makes sense. But it didn't work! The little black arrow is the magic trick. Click on it and your adding links to text problem disappears. (There is no need to say abracadabra unless you feel the need) You get a working link you can add to any text on your page.
This might be a good time to check all the links on your site. Not just your affiliate links but internal links as well.
OK, one more time. repeat after me me... Today will be incredible! Awesome, I knew you would wake up at the end of the post. :))
Y'all have an incredible day.
Until next time,
