I have changed my paypal email and need to update it here within WA. Won't let me...says I need to contact site support which landed me here. O.o

If you are referring to your WA Affiliate program with Paypal payout, here is where the Paypal email address is found.

I did try that but it won't let me :(

So it looks like you will need to contact site support if you haven't already.

Ok guys, I am tackling the 'about me' page on my first WA website and I have a bit of a dilema. The topic of my niche is relatively new to me. I have only been researching it f

I don't think it's always necessary to present yourself as an authority! Some people like the journey...because they are learning too....sometimes we want to see a person grow in a certain field and watch their journey as well as our own.

Thank you, Michael. I really appreciate everyone's opinion and am taking them all to heart! This really is a wonderful group of people.

You betcha! It's the main reason I am here!

I second Jude's answer.

And the reader will feel respected and at eye level......☺

Hi...I am a REAL newbie here, but JUST finished my first post...site is called arthritisreliefnow. Don't know if this is the 'official' line, but I introduced myself as having personal experience with it (as I do) and having a bio/phys background (which I do). Also tied these 2 in with a statement about how much research I do and the sources (which I do). Like you, I am REALLY thorough. Hope it helps. Judy

Thank you so much, Judy! All the advice is so welcomed and has really helped me incredibly. I actually have my first draft now which didn't seem likely before all the great feedback from everyone:)

Try and think that you are talking to a friend - that often helps :)

Good advice! I will try visualizing that person as I write:) Thank you.

If you select a niche on something that Interests you, you are most of the way there. Next is getting educated in the subject matter and presenting it.

Thank you, Michael. Yes, I will continue researching until I am satisfied that I have gained the knowledge necessary to present the best possible info that I am able.

An about me page should give the reader a insight as to what you and your site are all about. Try to explain your passion, why you believe in your niche and your mission with the site. You can always come back to ANY PAGE/POST and modify, so don't be such a perfectionist. This is my problem as well, but knowing this, you can relax and do the best you can and then move on. Your site will constantly evolve and improve.

Here's an about me from my Therapy site. I think it captures the readers interest with the first paragraph and then presents my take on why I'm building the site.

http://therapyboy.com/about-me/

Thank you, Todd:) Your insight into character is remarkable. I will, no doubt, constantly edit my site. I also have rough drafts for every composition that I come back to and alter multiple times before I even add it to a site. Thanks for including your about me page. It helps to see how other people present themselves...much appreciated:)

Happy to help, just let me know if you need anything else and keep up the good work.

Tell us about you as you normally would. Then, towards the end, include a statement something like the following......

"......and have thoroughly researched, investigated and studied the field of (insert niche here)....."

and later..... "....hoping this website will help others with information regarding (insert niche here)...."

Thank you, great idea!! Very helpful:) much appreciated

I have a question...if you decide to take advantage of the 'first month' premium offer to get an idea of all the perks available to premium members and you build a website with

Oh and I see that you are still here as a premium member so I'm glad all worked out in the end. :)

I would rather cut back on unnecessary spending, (a coffee from Starbucks etc.) than give up my premium membership here :)

:) I hear you...unfortunately no such thing as unneccessary spending here:(

Sorry, I didn't mean to make that sound like I was suggesting you spend unnecessarily - just that some people are frivolous and don't realise there are other things they could cut down on. I really hope things work out for you :)

No need to apologize, you're right. In most cases people do indulge and splurge...lotto tickets or Starbucks etc. We don't really get to (sometimes a treat for Alyssa >< ) but that will change one day:) No offense was taken...it's all good:)

I think this blog of Leo will be helpful

Thank you I will have a look as I am faced with the possibility of my having to go back to starter if that is even possible.

You would have to change the hosting to another company (which costs money) in order to keep the website.

You would also lose access to the community, which is very much needed to leave comments and feedback about your website.

Laura

Thanks Laura:)

Hi DPolny,

From what I understand you would lose the domain and site hosted here. So the best thing would be to hold on to it...

Kind regards,
Robin

So once you go premium there's no going back to starter?

I had this same question. I'm hoping to be able to sign up with the annual plan so I don't have to worry about it month to month, but a potentially (short term I hope) dip in household income could prevent me from doing that.

...and you want to do the affiliate bootcamp, as well? Which should I focus on first?

The affiliate bootcamp can take over a year to have any consistent success. Start with your favorite niche, make sure it has products associated with it and go with that. Only do one niche site until you get it to be profitable before moving on to another idea. Can you imagine writing 50 posts dedicated toward one niche? If not, than keep looking. But I'd highly encourage you to stick with the Entrepreneurial course and not bootcamp. I have a blog on my profile that talks about this. Hope this helps.

Thank you, will do:)
