Be careful who you share your goals with!

It is sad that we have to join a community of strangers to help us, motivate us, give us advise, continue to tell us, you can do it!!!, I am here for you!, you have a great community of strangers willing to stop what they are doing, to help you with a problem, stop long enough to tell you, I know you are going to make it!! And pick you up when you fall and point you in the right direction.
It is sad that our own Family, Friends and Neighbors are the ones that remind us daily that, we are wasting are time!! It is a Scam!! Don't talk to me about that Internet stuff, I have to go to my real job!!
I say all of that, to tell you this, be careful who you share your goals with!!! You want to share them with people that will help and motivate you!! Not with somebody that is going to make you feel like the last chapter of What's the use!!!
So I leave you today with this! If you want to succeed online, join Wealthy Affiliate, and go premium, put in the time that you can, you have all of the tools, information and a Great community of people that want to see you succeed, and share your goals with people that will help and motivate you!! Do this, and we will see you, at the Top!!

Great advice. I have not had much success with online ventures and have pretty much kept this to myself. I think what I really like so much about WA is that even if I never earn a cent, I am learning a lot and that in itself is worthwhile: )

And that is so true, I learn something every time I meet a new member here at WA. Just reading their profile, and following them I have a new friend. Maybe from another state in the US or from another Country! I learn their likes, dislikes, and great information about their successes! Even their failures, it's like reading the introduction to the book about their life.
So, make your short and long time goals. Then spend a hour or so meeting new people,answering your mail then I would Start ASAP on the green tab upper left top side next to your profile, and Get Started!!! Do this daily, and you will become a success!! And that is how you will become successful!
The only way you can fail, is by quitting!!! But you are not a quitter!!
You are a winner!! You have taken the first and most important step for being a success on the Internet, you joined WA a great community of people helping people to live their dreams!!
You need help, just ask!!.............. WELCOME !!!!

Well said, to me personally l have learned not to share what im doing with anyone.
l dont want to be called stupid, crazy, out of my mind or whatever.l joined and was convinced WA works so l invited a friend who was also convinced, l arranged for his yearly upgrade(got my money back) but after 2 weeks he asked when he will start seeing results,after about 3 months he gave up.
Now when l make little amounts and show him he still insist WA does not work.
Even when it comes a time im making 1000s online, l will not share with anyone,most are not willing to work.
Hello my friend, so true. If you want to be successful you MUST work for it!!! It my take you years, but you will get back whatever you put in to it!!

I agree, surround yourself with positive people, it makes the online journey much easier I think...
Most people just think of the many scams etc. that are out there, and maybe they have been the victim once or three times!
We know better, this is a viable business model if done properly and ethically, no need to get involved in scams etc.!

I myself don't run into this now, but many years ago ( I have be in sales for the past 35 years) this was always happening. I have gone to many motivational seminars. And Zig Ziglar once told me this same statement !!! Over the years, I have learned to use this to my advantage! It would just make me work that much harder!!
Not so true for many of the newbies!!! I have alway told them, share your goals with people that will encourage you.

Thanks Don for sharing... it is very true. I have made the mistake of telling a few people... family, friends and was instantly sorry I opened my mouth. It is the same with anything you are trying different from the flock... surround yourself with like minded people. I am sure that people who have risen to fame and fortune were told they were wasting their time many times and kept going. So you just need to put your blinders on, crank up the music and rock on!

So true!!! I have meet many Pro Athletes and people in the Movie Industry that said, they were told no 1000 times before they sold a script that turned out to be a hit!!!

Hello DonTerry. I have read your post and I understand you because I had that experience too, until now. But, because I want to be successful, I just follow myself , train myself and listen to the others who already successful. I don't listen to all person who are giving negative thoughts, advice, discouragements..yes! It's true, that even your family, friends, bestfriends, neighbors are the one will control of what you are doing. They are the one who will give you negative advice instead of giving support. But because they are not in my position so, instead of asking their advice, I just ask advice to the successful people. Because I know that I will be successful so I don't need their advice if it is negative or it cannot help me. And I can tell you that , I am now successful because I am here to Wealthy Affiliate surroundings with the successful and positive people and I am so happy because we are all here having the same goals... "To be Successful."
So, to all...Keep doing the things you know that you will be successful, not only today, tomorrow but for the future!
