Surprise! SEO isn’t that hard to get started.
I’ve been messing around with online marketing for a number of years but now realize I didn’t really know what I was doing.
For some reason I never got into SEO. Every time I ran into the term my eyes kind of glazed over & I quickly went into a different direction.
When I joined WA I finally learned how important it was to learn it if you wanted to make money. This was probably the reason I never really did that well with online marketing.
I decided I better learn it, so I signed up for the big one , Yoast. I started going through the lessons with it and got turned off fairly quickly because the main theme of it seemed to be to get me to sign up for the premium version. The free version kept telling me all the things I could only get with premium.
I said to my self there’s got to be a better and cheaper way to go, so I went on Google & within minutes I ran across the Rank Math SEO Plugin. They said it was free with no upgrades, so I decided to check it out further.
The more research I did the more I became convinced that it was the way to go. I installed the WP plugin and started using it. Right away I could see it was easier to work with than the others.
To make a long story short I’m using it and it’s made basic SEO a piece of cake. There are a lot more features than free Yoast or others I looked at. I’m pretty new at present but they may be coming out with a Pro version soon & I may have to get it to really learn SEO.
I really like Rank Math & think others, that can’t afford the high prices of the big guys, might like it also.

I looked at All in One also but since Rank Math works for me for free but I wasn't too interested. I can use the money for something else. Nothing to buy on RM.

I like Yoast, but you are right, the premium version is better...Yoast works well with e-commerce sites (WooCommerce) so I have the premium versions for all...
But I may try the Rank Math SEO plugin for the sites that are not e-stores..Thanks for the tip. I am always for an effective tool that automates tasks and makes life easier!

I like free! SEO on the surface is not that hard, it can get hairy as you start drilling down and use white hat but outside the box/norm methods...
One of the best guys I know of to check out regarding everything SEO for content is Mathew Woodward (do a Google search). He does a lot of in-depth research on what works and what doesn't.
The next area that is its own special world is local business SEO. That has some things you have to watch for that are totally different than for websites alone.
From GMB (Google My Business) to local search results you have to compete for the top three spots, and there are a number of ways to make that positioning happen.
In the medium to large cities, this is where the business is for agencies and the services they offer to business owners. It is a huge market as you might imagine, and far removed from affiliate marketing, of course!

SEO is something, out with what is taught by Kyle and Jay to be completely forgotten about.
Follow the basic onpage SEO taught here and you just won't go wrong.
I was sh*t scared of SEO 4 years back when I got started - My first article published racked up on Page 1 out ranking Harvard and continued to do so for years (no idea of current ranking for that article).
With so many google updates the best thing to do is just focus on the simplistic SEO taught here at WA and create the best possible content.
...and keep mind one my little "SEO secrets" you can be both over optimised and under optimised at the same time...for a number of different ranking factors.
I have been working with Yoast SEO Premium for a long time and I am very satisfied with them. My blog is positioning itself better day by day. Thank you Don!
