WA Progress so far!
Hello fellow WAers! Well let me just start by saying that I love it here at WA! The training is superb and the support is wonderful!
I have recently gotten my website up and running and, while I still have some tweaking to do and things to add, I'm getting to the stage where I can start adding a post a day more or less...
I've had some really useful feedback and some wonderful comments from some of you here at WA so far. They are useful in a practical sense for improving on the site, but they're also a major confidence booster, so thank you!

I have now finished course 2 (which is excellent by the way!), but I'm going to hang back a bit before diving into course 3 and work on the following:
Improving my website
Getting better rankings
Getting more traffic
Adding more content!
As well as continuing to get involved in the community here at WA- contributing as well as learning. You learn so much here even when you're not doing one of the courses!
As such, I believe this will put me in a much stronger position for starting course 3!
I have had a look at course 3 though and it looks very exciting! I particularly like the way that a lot of the tasks involve adding another article/post as you go.
This is a great way to make sure you don't lose sight of the fact that you still need to be adding quality content even though you're now getting into the money making aspect- perhaps especially so!

Your website is so far developed and it is wonderful to read. You use the technical terms with an explanation for people not familiar with them.
To begin with I was just looking at one page - the 'socks' page (because that's one of the things I have difficulty with - though not an amputee) but I got intrigued and so I looked about the 'my story' page and then 'About Me' - and found that you live in the UK! (My daughter was at Durham University and loved her occasional weekend trips to Newcastle.)
I am not an amputee and I really admire the way you are making the most of your life and tell your story in a matter of fact way with, as you say, details of everyday problems that only someone who has had to deal with them can understand.
I have had serious hip problems from birth with my first hip replacement at age 5, so I can relate to your story to some extent. ( A couple of years ago I broke my collarbone by falling down the stairs. Nobody - especially not the doctors - seemed to understand that I had not just lost one arm, but had in fact lost much more because I need my arms to get off the floor when kneeling, to hold onto bannisters when going up the stairs etc.)
Your write very well and I feel this is the start to a great online career for you.

Yeah I know Durham well, it's just down the road from Newcastle! And a very prestigious Uni! Glad your daughter enjoyed coming to Newcastle.
I hadn't really thought of this until reading your response! But, even though I'm specifically writing from an amputee's perspective, in a broader sense for a lot of the material I'm basically talking about various physical or mobility problems or issues encountered by someone with some kind of physical impairment, disability etc. whatever that might be! So as you say, someone who is not necessarily an amputee could relate to some of it. And that's great too! So thank you for bringing that to my attention!
Perhaps in future when the site is further along you would be interested in doing a guest spot talking about some of these things from your perspective?! Just a thought!
As well as being very kind of you this feedback has also been very helpful as the things you have mentioned are pretty much exactly what I was aiming for (explaining technical terms, telling the story in a matter of fact way, detailing things only people who have experienced them can understand etc. etc.) so I very much appreciate you not only visiting the site, but taking the time out to write this response!
